Just checked SEC rules - for a company with a 9/30/22 fiscal year end, the filing deadline for a 10K is 11/29/22.

10ks are the annual reports. Something like this would require a separate filing.

Yes, typically an 8K. But this one was indeed included in the company's 10K.

I didn’t go back to look at the original disclosure but yes 10-k has a hard and fast deadline. Announcements outside of that require an 8-k which has a 4 day window which is what I was referring to.
