We are planning a trip for POR in June. From what we have heard, Boatwright's is less than desirable, but DH thought he read that they recently changed the menu. Has anyone had a good experience eating there recently? Thoughts?

We have always like it. I wouldn't make a trip to POR just for Boatwright's but if you're staying there, in our opinion it is definitely worth a try.

We like Boatwrights, and eat there once each time we stay at POR. Check out the menu. I'm not a seafood person, so I usually get the prime rib.

I've never been. But a friend says its fantastic and totally worth the time. YMMV. :)

We ate there at the end of August. The corn bread and french onion soup were great. I would go there just for that. I liked my shrimp dish but DH thought the prime rib was just okay. I wish they had more variety to their menu because it is very convenient to dine there if you are staying in the resort. We are considering eating at Boatwright's in June, too.

We ate at Boatwrights almost a decade ago, and I wasn't impressed. My wife suggested it again for this year, and I wasn't interested.

"Go look a the menu."

Oh, my. It looks AMAZING! It's getting great reviews, from what I've heard, too. I'm really excited to go back.

Was there in 2013 and the screwed up a salad! I mean...how does one do that? I'd have to say NAY. I do like the food court there!

We ate there last year, and the etouffee was not very good. My DH ordered the ribs and thought they were so bad, he was offered a replacement meal. He chose the jambalaya and it was not so good either. Neither of us have any desire to go back.

We went in 2014 and it was our best meal next to BOG! But we tend to like what others don't

Went there end of November on our last trip. Stayed at POFQ and took a lovely walk over. The food was really good and the service was great. No complaints! A warning.....if you order an alcoholic drink....be careful.....they make them very strong there and they sneak up on you! (The walk back to POFQ was eventful to say the least! LOL)

We tried Boatwright's for the first time last May and thought it was a very pleasant surprise. The food and service were both fantastic. We're looking forward to going again.

We tried it for the first time in October and we enjoyed it. The service was good. We had an issue with the coffee being cold but that was remedied right away and we had no other issues at all.

We ate there last week. I looked forward to that particular meal for months and it was a *huge* let down. One of the worst meals we had in 11 nights on a deluxe dining plan. I wouldn't bother and would go out of my way to eat elsewhere in the future.

We ate there in March. I had fish, and the rest of the family had jumbalaya. Food was slightly above average. Service was way below average. It was a good meal but just wasn't "Disney" to us.

Was there in June and my DH still talks about his meal there. Says it was one of the best that we had the entire trip.

Tried it on our first stay in 2008, was just ok, nothing to shout about, so we missed it on our second stay in 2010, then on our third stay in 2012, we read really good reviews, so we gave it a try..Very impressed..Id rate it in my favourite non signature restaurant choices, but only if I was staying there..

We like Boatwrights. If you are staying at POR o POFQ, it is a convenient and good restaurant during your stay. We generally book it for our arrival dinner. I would not make a special trip there for dinner though, not unless you want to visit the resort.
