I just booked breakfast at Boatwrights. Mostly because we're staying at POR and it's convenient.

Now, how did you like the food, service, theming? :)

We had banana stuffed french toast and it was one of the best meals of our whole trip! We will eat breakfast there again the next time we stay at POR. The service was good, too.

Thanks. Always good to hear a positive report. :)

Boatrights dining isnt what I expected it to be but it still was very nice. The only boat in boatrights is the boat "shell" overhead. Its an opened area dining hall which is right down the hall from the main dining area. I had the french toast and it was very good and very sweet. It was good but I would rather a breakfast buffet. No matter what, your on disney property and its always good! pluto:

We eat breakfast there almost every day of our stay.

We stayed at POFQ earlier this month and ate at Boatwright's on our first night and also on our last day. DH, my mom and DD4 had taken a walk over there on our first day and DH asked at the podium if they could seat all 7 of us when we all got there in a little bit. (We didn't have an ADR.) They said no, they were all booked up. This was around 5 pm. When DH questioned this, because the place was practically empty, they said we could have a table. There were quite a few empty tables left by the time we finished too.

They brought out these large corn muffins which were pretty good, but heavy. After eating one of those, I only got the onion soup for dinner. My mom got the same thing and my dad got the house salad. DH got the prime rib, DD17's friend got the sirloin, and DD17 got a pasta dish which she liked. The food was good, but not something I would make a special trip for.

For our breakfast, I got the sweet potato pancakes (yummy), mom got the stuffed french toast (she thought there was too much sugar on the outside, so she cut that part off, but otherwise she thought they were very good), DH got the eggs benedict which he liked, and my dad got pancakes. My dad enjoyed his pancakes until, about 2/3 through, he found a hair which had been baked into the pancakes. :earseek: The waitress was very good and she came back and said the manager was having a talk with the kitchen staff and would my dad like another order? Well, he wasn't hungry anymore. Then the manager came out and he was very nice and pleasant and said they would take the charge for the pancakes off the bill and he ended up staying and talking with us for about 15 minutes.

So by the time your visit comes around, they would have corrected their procedures in the kitchen and you won't have to worry about hairs.

But all in all, the food was good and service both times was good. If I were staying there again, I would go back.

We've eaten breakfast there twice and both times it has been delicious. The omelette is great. I also love the sweet potato pancakes. Our service was fine. There really isn't any theming. It is just a regular restaurant although my kids loved their Mickey pancakes!

I think you would likely be very pleased with having breakfast there. I know we always are!

This has always been one of our favorite places to have breakfast. We go there everytime we are at WDW. My best friend got me hooked on the strawberries served with heavy cream and brown sugar, yum! We always get them before breakfast.

I still fantasize about that banana stuffed French Toast. It was the best breakfast of the trip! We are eating breakfast at Kona this year and I hope the Tonga Toast will match that religious experience. :wizard: Has anyone out there tried both who can compare?

WE always have at least one breakfast at Boatwrights. They have a fantastic omlette--the Blueprint. You can get as many as 10 different ingredients in it--including 3 meats and 3 different kinds of cheese

We eat at Boatwright's on every trip. It is one of our favorite places to have breakfast at Disney. On our last trip my Wife had the Sweet Potato pancakes and I had the Blueprint Omlette. They were both excellent.

WE will be eating at Boatwrights on our upcoming trip, and I'm so glad to hear to many good reviews. The french toast sounds really yummy!
Too bad I'm allergic to bananas!!!
Bananas me no likey!!!! :teeth: :teeth:

Mmmmm... sounds very good - well, except that hair thing. ;)

I'll keep an eye out for stray foreign objects, but mostly, I'll be looking forward to the banana stuffed french toast! :Pinkbounc

Highly recommend their sweet potato pancakes! The server I had was one of the nicest I've had anywhere.

I am totally in agreement with the others. Boatwrights was wonderful. We went around 9:00 and it was practically empty. It was very nice and relaxing.

Boatwrights is great for breakfast. When we stayed at POR in October, we ate breakfast there 3 times. We preferred to eat at Boatwrights than at the food court. Boatwrights only cost a little more and took about the same time as the foodcourt by the time you waited in line and got all your food. I really liked the banana stuffed toast and the sweet potato pancakes.

We loved it, too. It actually cost us less than the food court with a much nicer atmosphere, beacuse the breakfast entrees were large enough to share. The omlettes were yummy. And in July, we never had ADRs and were seating immediately.

you're going to hate me-last year we ate at BW for breakfast and by 3pm, I was really really sick. We actually took a cab from the magic kingdom back to POFQ where we were staying because there was no way I could make it on a bus. The BW breakfast was the only thing I had eaten that day and after inspecting the.....stuff that came "out", we know that's what it was that did it. My poor DH (of only a year!) had never seen me so sick.

I was sick for our last two days-no Fantasmic, no anniversary dinner at Narcosee's (sp?) with surprise cake, and we missed three "free" meals. (front desk was nice enough to upgrade our park tickets to no expiration)

There's a 1 in 9,000,000,000,000 chance this will happen to you or anyone else, but I know it happened to me! lol

Needless to say, we will not ever ever (did I say ever) eat at boatwright's again. Buuut-I wish you a happy meal! lol

Sandy :)

I liked the biscuits and gravy (just something I really like). Some restaurants will substitute another fruit, ie, strawberries, for the bananas in the French toast ---- wouldn't hurt to ask. I LOVE sweets, but can honestly say that this is way too sweet for me ....... but maybe it's because I want to have syrup on French toast, too. I'd suggest splitting the French toast with someone who's getting eggs or fruit.
