Boatwright's Dining Hall:
My reservation was for 5:55 and the water shuttles were running a little bit behind, so I ended up checking in at 6:25 or so. No issues.
The cornbread is sweet and served with soft butter. It is brought out right after you place your drink order.
My entree was blackened steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were delicious and had just the right number of chunks of potatoes rather than a creamy version. Asparagus was presented very well.
The rib-eye was on the thinner cut side. I expected it to be much thicker, but it was a hearty piece. The spices used and cooking it to med-rare was done beautifully. The quality of the steak was well above average. It is not the best steak on property, nor should it be for ~$38.
I had gone into this meal wanting to try the cheesecake but couldn't do it. 1/2 the steak went back to the room along with most of the asparagus.
Service was stellar. I drank water during my meal and the glass never got below halfway due to the waiter constantly filling it.
The decor and lighting appealed to me. We were seated in the upstairs section (near the running fireplace) and it was a darker room with about 75% of the tables filled.
Given some of the criticism of this eatery from the past, I can hand-on-heart say this is an excellent place to enjoy a non-signature dinner for a reasonable price. The offerings are right in the wheelhouse from what I would expect given the resort name/location. I would eat here again, without hesitation.
