I have rezzies for Boatwright's in two weeks. I've never eaten there and I was wondering if anyone else could give me a review of the food & service?

Thank you!

If you do a search, you will see a couple of threads on this in the last couple of weeks (I replied to one earlier today or yesterday). We have never done breakfast--understand it is terrific. Went for our last dinner on our trip last year and will NEVER go back. The absolute worse meal and service we have ever had at a Disney restaurant.

I have stayed at POR 3 times and enjoy eating at Boatwright's. It doesn't compare to say eating at the Poly. I usually get something chicken. I am not picky in terms of service unless it is rude. And my boyfriend says I am not picky in terms of food either. It isn't a big place so they aren't stressed and/or you can flag someone down if you need to. I do think it is better for breakfast but I love breakfast. It may sound silly but having stayed at POR 3 times eating there is like coming home. I love being a few minutes from the room.

We have enjoyed dinner there twice. The breakfast is wonderful! The French toast is great, as is the coffee. A good way to start the day!

We ate dinner there in January. Our waiter was very friendly, efficient and helpful. We made the ADRs at the last minute and were pleased with the food. DH and I both had the filet and found it to be good -- but very rich.

The only rude people we ran into were at the next table over. I am sure they won't be back so soon. ;)

It has been nearly 5 years since I have been there for breakfast and dinner but my last meals there were wonderful especially the french toast in the am.

We stayed at Riverside last June and ate there twice for dinner. I would say that the food was quite nice. The jambalaya was a bit dry but everything else was nice, although the menu has changed significantly since then. The staff are nice and accommodating though and it has a nice atmosphere. My one piece of advice would be to bring a jacket or sweater as the air con was very cold in there!

We have had breakfast there many times and dinner once and always enjoyed our food & service. I love the sweet potato pancakes for breakfast.

I hate it when I'm alone on issues...BUT, we didn't care for it at all. We had breakfast and it was mediocre at best and that's sad when it's so difficult to screw up breakfast to begin with. Specifically- the bacon had a strange flavor and the scrambled eggs were powdered-eggs, and at $17.00 per plate, I didn't expect much, but at least good.

We ate there in March. We were seated on time for our ADRs, the service was pleasant and efficient, the restaurant itself was clean and the food was fine (solid, but unspectacular). I am glad I tried it (as it was a place I had never been before), but I will not be rushing back on my next trip.

Do you need Ressies.... we are staying at POFQ and have thought we might pop over there to Boatrights for a breakfast...

Ate there May '07 for dinner and it was great, food and service both were really good. Started to eat there in Oct. '07 and we'll never go back because of the service. We also were less than thrilled with the menu changes from May to October. They took off the pot roast, onion rings, and meatloaf and have replaced those items (along with a slew of others) with seafood type foods. I guess the bad service while trying to check-in saved us from the bad menu so I am thankful.

Thanks, everyone for you comments. I think we'll keep the ADR even though the reviews are quite mixed. Sounds like the new menu isn't to everyone's taste, but we won't know until we get there. Thank you!
