What time do the boats start running in the morning?

We are staying at the Beach Club and my husband has a meeting in the Dolphin early in the morning. I was wondering if the boats start early enough.

Thanks.

I don't know what time the boats start, but he could easily walk to the Dolphin from the Beach Club. I would say this would be about a 5-7 minute walk.

Yes, we've walked it before, but he was just concerned that if it was too hot or raining he didn't want to get to his business meeting looking like a drowned rat!

Do you think if the weather is bad a taxi would come to take him over to the Dolphin? Sometimes cab drivers don't want to do such a small trip, even though he would get a tip (my hubby is a BIG tipper!).

What do you think?

Well, walking would get him less wet than taking the boat, since the Dolphin is only about twice as far from BC as the boat dock. But to answer your question, they generally start about an hour before the park opens.

As for a taxi, you have to remember these are Florida taxis, not NY or Boston cabs: if the BC calls one of them, they take the fare, wherever you want to go. It's a cultural difference. But no Florida cabby, having driven all the way to the Beach Club is going to leave without the fare they were called there to pick up. So if it rains (torrential), he should by all means take a cab, and just tip well. Otherwise, it's all of a two block distance, so he's not going to mess up his suit any more than walking in the City in the summer.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I guess I just worry about silly things! Hubby isn't worried, he said he'll just walk.

You are right about NY cabbies, they are not supposed to deny you, but they do (and get away with it).

I have another question. We've walked from the Beach Club to the Dolphin from the back entrances of the hotels, but can you walk from the front entrance of the Beach Club (where the valet is) to the front entrance of the Dolphin?

I think you can, but it will be faster and more scenic to walk around the lagoon...

Bob P is right: it is possible to walk from the bus & taxi entrance of BC to the bus & taxi entrance of the Dolphin, but it would be longer, involving a long-ish walk along the roadside (Epcot Resorts Blvd) with cars and busses roaring by. Far better to take the shorter, more direct route along the lagoon.
