Boating at CBR?

Can you rent sail boats and sail at the CB Resort? I saw the WDW Planning DVD and they showed a sailboat. My DH is into sailing and he would love to stay there if they had sailing.

Bikes and boats
A variety of watercraft are available for rent at OPR (Old Port Royale). These include watermice, sailboats, paddle boats, canoes and pontoon boats. The watermice can accommodate a maximum load of 300 lb. and typically hold one adult or an adult with a child. Pontoon boats can accommodate up to eight adults. Don't plan on sailing off in one of these boats to MGM or the Magic Kingdom; the lake doesn't extend beyond the grounds of the CBR.

The lake at CBR is not particularly large for an adult sailing. My son who was fourteen at the time of driving a water mouse got bored rather quickly with this. I would think that sailing on Bay Lake or Seven Seas Lagoon would be great.

Hi there,

As the above poster said you are limited to the CBR resort, we rented a pontoon boat twice way back in 98 and were quite surprised that we had such a large area to play in. At the time you went to a marshland/mangrove area, which is know the Pop Century resort. Hope this is some use.

There is quite a bit of lake at CBR. I have the prices listed on the CBR FAQ II listed below. We always loved boating at CBR. Yes Bay Lake is bigger and faster but still enjoyed the boats at CBR.
