Boat versus Bus

I'm staying at the Wilderness Lodge in mid October and I was wondering what the pro's and cons were of using the boat to and from the Magic Kingdom versus taking the bus to the TTC and than taking the monorail. I'm the type of person who puts a premium on time. Does one method take a lot longer than another. On 10/23 I have to be at the Contemporary for a charactor breakfast at 8:50 AM, how should I get there? Finally I will also be at the MK for Mickey's Not So Scary on the same day. I plan on staying until the close at midnight. Will the boat be running that late? Any input that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

First, the bus no longer goes to TTC it goes directly to MK, that said it doesn't run in a continual loop like the boat. The boat from WL to MK is nice and not a long trip at all, and yes it will be running for MNSSHP until 1 hour after the park closes. There is also a boat that goes from WL to the CR, 2 actually one goes WL,CR,FW the other goes WL, FW,CR.
