Boat transportation from Port Orleans Riverside

We have a dinner engagement in The Adventurers Club in Downtown Disney, and we are staying at PO Riverside.

Should we catch the bus or will the boat take us there. Do you know how long it will take?

Any comments and/or other suggestions?

The boat to DTD takes about 20 minutes if I remember right. It is a relaxing ride, the driver tells you about PORQ, the tree-houses, and the surrounding area. We never took the bus to DTD, always the boat.
