Boat to MK?

It's about a mile, there is a walking/bike trail (not lit at night, very spooky)! You can take the boat to WL from FW too, then boat from WL to MK.

You can also boat directly to MK from FW, you don't have to go to WL unless you want to, there are separate boats for each of these. You can also go FW to Contemporary.

Isn't Disney transportation fun!:thumbsup2

it really is a very nice leisurely walk.:thumbsup2
takes bout 20-25 minutes at my pace.

Very cool! Yes I was wondering how to get to MK by boat. I didn't even know there was a boat from FW. It's looking more and more like camping is the way to go this trip...:thumbsup2.

Kids in or out of strollers on boat?
Out seems to make more safety sense... but sometimes you hate to move them when they're content...

There are two ways to transportation routes (other than walking/biking) to get to WL. One way is by boat from FW Landing. There are generally two boates that run this route, each run opposite from the other in a circle. One does FW, WL, then Contemporary, the other does FW, Contemporary, then WL, and back to FW. On these boates you have to step in, so you must fold the stroller. The other way to WL is to take the bus from the Settlement Depot to WL, which is its next stop.

The boat to the MK is usually one of the larger 3 launches that service FW & WL. You can catch these at either FW or WL docks. These bigger launches do usually allow children in the strollers. The only exception would be if the water levels are too low & won't allow level docking and sometimes during peak seasons I have seen cast members ask people to fold the stroller & hold the child to allow for more people. Also, there are times when they use the smaller launches to help transport the MK route, usually at peak times.

One other thing, if you plan to get to MK at openeing or before, be at the dock 40 minutes prior to the parks opening time to catch the first boat, otherwise you will have to wait about 20 minutes or so for the next one.
