Boat to Ft Wilderness

We will be staying at CR and planning on taking a boat to WL to see the decorations and have lunch at WC.

I've read about renting bikes at Ft Wilderness and would like to include that as well. What is the most efficient way to get there?

Are the bike rentals close to the boat launch?

We want to be back at CR by 7, so no night time activities at WL or FW. OR- would it be better to stay at FW for their campfire, and if so can we make it back to our room in time for the electrical water pageant and wishes?

1. Tell any bus driver on a FtW "internal bus" in Ft. Wilderness that you are going to the Bike Barn.
2. No.
3. You can.
4. Unlikely. But, you can see both while still at FtW.

Blue Flagged Boats run in a continuous loop from the Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness. So after you finish lunch, just hop on the boat headed to FW, and when you are ready to return to the Contemporary, just hop back on the boat.

You car rent a bike from WL and bike to FW. They are by the beach and boats at WL. The bike barn is not near the boats in FW so you would need to walk or bus back and forth if you take the boat. It's a nice easy bike ride between WL and FW unless the kids are real small. And you would need to get them back by 5 I think.

My son is 6, is it less than 2 miles? I know he'd be good for that..not sure about more.

Would that defeat the purpose of booking a theme park view room and the extra night I had to book to be able to get it?lol. That's the main reason I wanted to be back in time.

During the extended WL/VWL construction project I do not believe bikes are currently available at WL. HTH
