Question:

We have a Cape May Buffet Breakfast planed for 8:00 one day and we are planning on spending the day at Disney Studios (MGM) can we use the BC boat to get to DH even if we are not quests of BC or YC ---

Sorry for the stupid question but its our 1st trip... and I am sure I will come up with more as I am planning our days right now...

Just so you know, all Disney transportation is for all guests. You can walk or take the boat from BC to the Studios, its about 20-25 minutes, especially in the morning when you have more energy or want to walk off breakfast. You might want to drive to the Studios, walk or boat it to breakfast and then reverse it for the park day.

Since you've never been there, you might find the walk a nice way to check out the whole Boardwalk area.

If you aren't driving, you will need to figure out how to get from your resort to BC, because there is no bus route from one to another resort unless they share busses, and the PO resorts only share.

THANK YOU FOR THE INFO... I thought it would be included but just wanted to make sure...

We are planning on taking a cab to BC from our resort... felt it will be the easiest... we are not renting a car...

If you have a little spare time then you might want to take a bus to DHS and then ride the boat to the BC or walk (walking is a little quicker). It will be free and the boat ride will be a nice way to go to breakfast too. By the way, no one checks to see if you have a room key (they couldn't care less about whether you are staying at a resort or not). Also, the boat captains are some of the nicest CMs that we have met at WDW - they must love their job.

If not for the early ADR at Cape May,I would recommend that you take a bus from POFQ to DHS and then ride the Friendship boat to Cape May,but because of the time involved with a bus/boat transport,a taxi would be much easier and stress free that early in the morning. You would need to be at the bus stop by 7:00 AM and even then it could be tight getting to Cape May by 8:00 AM.There would be many variables-SOMETIMES after a bus picks up at POFQ it continues on to the FOUR bus stops at POR.Also, once you got to DHS,there may not be a Friendship at the dock and you would have to wait on the next one.By all means DO take the Friendship from the Beach Club/Yacht Club dock to DHS after your meal at Cape May.I REALLY enjoy using the boats and monorails at WDW when possible.I consider them attractions.Be sure to take the boat from POFQ to Downtown Disney while you are there. It is a beautiful ride, especially at night.:)

You may want to walk along the boardwalk after breakfast to the Swan/Dolphin boat pick-up because then it will be a direct boat ride to the Studios. It's a lovely walk (perhaps 5 minutes) and you can see what that Epcot resort area is like.

Thanks.. I am working on gett some time in the plan of DTD - and planning on talking th boat from POFQ.... right now we are pretty booked up but I am hoping i can talk hubby into skipping a Waterpark and going to DTD for few hours instead... :)

This isnt always true. I have been on buses and boats where a room key was checked - generally it was from DTD that the check was made but the rule is that the Disney transport is for guests staying on property so they do have the right to check you have a room key at any time

If nothing else, you could ride the boat to DTD one night and ride right back to POFQ.You will have to get off the boat at DTD,but then you can get right back on the same boat if there is enough room with the people who are waiting at DTD.I think the last boat leaves DTD around 11:00 PM.It is about a fifteen minute ride each way from POFQ.DTD is SO pretty from out on the water at night.:)
