So I am going on a Disney Cruise on the Dream in November and the transportation to WDW after will take me to Wilderness Lodge but not to Fort Wilderness. Can I get dropped off at Wilderness Lodge with all my bags and then take a boat to Fort Wilderness? Will it be very akward with all the bags? Is the check in at Fort Wilderness near the boat launch?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Are you sure they won't take you to FW? DME will take you there.

As far as taking a boat with baggage to FW...that wouldn't work out at all. The boats are very small. Also, the check in is at the FW Outpost, which is way the other side of FW.

Worst case, plan on taking a cab.

Its strange that they wouldn't drop you off a FW its just as much a resort as any other onsite property.

As for the boat. You would have to take it to the boat to the dock at FW and then take an internal bus to the front of the park.

You could also take the bus from WL for Epcot or DHS; currently, those buses usually stop at FtW near the check-in before going to the respective park. But check back closer to your trip to make sure the routes haven't changed, and always ask the bus driver before assuming a bus is going somewhere that's not on it's marquee.

Even so, although luggage is permitted on Disney buses, it's a hassle. You have to get it on the bus yourself, and lug it back to your seat -- there are no luggage racks or storage, as there are on DME and Cruise Line buses.

A cab might be worth it in this case. I think it should be less than $10, as the resorts are fairly close, even though the cab will have to go a slightly roundabout route.

I agree, honestly ur best option is a cab. The launches do not do well with large items especially during dinner rush
