Is there a cost for the boat that takes you to Downtown Disney from OKW or is that part of the transportation that is included with your pass? We are headed to OKW in 11 days!

There is no cost to take the boat from OKW to DTD. However, this boat ride is not transportation included with your park passes. Old Key West through our membership dues pays for these boats......spruce

Spruce is right, and the boat is definately one of the better ways to get to DD. That and the walkway are much faster than a bus any time of day. Bus service to parks is good, but to other resorts and DD leaves a little to be desired. The walkway is behind building 55 and follows the canal to the back side of DD.

We usually take the boat to DD on our first night. It does not run all night so be sure to check the time. I think the last ride was at 9:40 pm.

As far as the walkway, my children (teenagers) told me I could not use it because it was for the golfers. How sweet of them to look out for the golfers. Not sure if it is restricted.

Have fun

The golf paths are for golfers only, but the walkway to DD only uses a small portion of the golf path at the end of the walkway closest to DD. The portion behind 55 along the canal is a walk, not a golf path.

Thanks for the info. Is the boat also free to any guests that we have with us even if they are not staying at OKW?

For additional information on the pathway, you might want to check out my initial post. Click Here

The boat is free and can include your guests. If you have a lot of guests, and if there's a crowd (The boat doesn't hold very many, about a dozen I think), then you might give consideration to other members first. If there's plenty of room on the boat, then enjoy the ride.

The boat is for OKW guests. There is no fee. At busy times, non-OKW guests may not be allowed to ride if there are guests waiting. If you have friends visiting you, theu will likely be OK, but the boat does have a restricted passenger limit.

Enjoy!

Fantastic photos and description of the path to DD frow OKW!
I missed it the first time around.
