I know you can take the boat from HS to the Boardwalk, and a boat from the Boardwalk to Epcot's "side" entrance, but can you take a boat from HS to Epcot. We're trying to fit in LeCellier for dinner on a day we're going to HS. Thanks for the help.

Yes.

(What you described is all the same boat.)

There are Friendship boats that run all day between DHS and Epcot's International Gateway (between UK and France).
Departures are approx. 20 minutes apart.
The boats make interim stops at Swan & Dolphin, Yacht & Beach Club, and Boardwalk.
Exit DHS, follow to your left down to the lake and the dock.

There is a pathway between DHS and Boardwalk and on to Epcot Int'l Gateway.
Exit DHS, follow straight out AROUND the rim of the lake (counter-clockwise) and head on down the sidewalk to Boardwalk.

Walking or the boat ride takes about the same amount of time.

Figure 30 minutes between DHS and Epcot, give or take.

Are there bus depots back to the resorts from Epcot's International Gateway? Thinking of taking the boat from DHS to the Boardwalk to walk around, grab a bite and then the boat from Boardwalk to Epcot to catch a bus back to AKL? Possible or no?

So walking and taking the boat would be about the same amount of time? 30 minutes? Does the boat go directly to the Boardwalk and Epcot, or take the long way around to all the resorts? Thanks, again.

There are no busses at the International Gateway. You would have to walk up to Epcot's front entrance or go back to DHS.

A quicker option would be a taxi.

No buses at the IG. You would need to use your PH ticket to walk through EPCOT to the front gate to catch an AKL bus

(or take a cab from BWI directly to AKL)

It makes the stops Robo listed in his post above - it does not go direct w/o stopping at the Epcot resorts.

You can just get back on the boat to DHS.

It's a pretty long walk. I would estimate about a mile.
Check out the pink line on Robo's map.
The boat takes about thirty minutes to start at DHS then Swan/Dolphin, Yacht Beach Clubs, Boardwalk, Epcot.

I don't know if this owuld affect you or not, but the last few times I have taken the boat, it has been miserably hot (and I'm pretty cold natured.) The captains told us "We know it doesn't work and we keep telling them, but they don't believe us."

You can walk through the resort building (elevator up to lobby from the boardwalk level), walk through the lobby, and out to the bus stops. There are buses from BWI/BWV to all parks except Epcot and DHS.

They wouldn't be able to take a bus from resort to resort, as in Boardwalk to AKL. They could take a bus to DAK, then transfer to an AKL bus, but that would be a pain and depending on DAK closing time, maybe not possible.

Every time we've walked we've beaten the boat, especially if we just missed it, or there's a long line and you know you won't be on the next boat. However, the walk is terribly long on a hot day, my 16 year old dd complained the whole way. Sometimes it's easier coming back from DS to jump off at the first resort and walk to Epcot from there. You still can beat your boat. Once we took the boat from Epcot, and started over to DS, but someone on the boat had some kind of accident in their pants. (It had to be an adult) It was hot, stale and the boat smelled very bad. Nobody on the entire boat said a word, I think everyone was afraid to breathe. Anyhow that same dd who complained about the walk, was the first one off at the first stop, and we walked from there, and still beat the boat to DS.

Just to be clear, can you use your Park Hopper ticket to get into Epcot between England and France or do you have to enter the park via the boat or the front entrance? We're headed from HS to LeCellier in Canada.

The longest part of the walk or boat ride is from DHS to the Swan/Dolphin. You can easily jump off there (or any of the subsequent stops) and do a power walk to Epcot to beat the boat.

You can use your ticket at the back gate to get into Epcot. A boat will only take you to the back gate, not into Epcot. There are only 2 ways in, front gate, and back gate.

Sure, the boat dock is outside the DHS gates, you take it to Epcot, go through security and enter the IG with your Park Hopper, climb the hill, bear left, through UK, next country is Canada and Le Cellier. Easy.

I tend to get off at YC/BC. A relatively short walk to Epcot from there and much quicker than waiting for the boat to go over to BW before Epcot.

Thanks for all the tips. I asked about HS to Boardwalk & then back because I thought, if we felt like it, after our day at DHS (they close at 7, but we may leave earlier, who knows), we could boat on over to the Boardwalk to check it out, grab a bite, whatever (we've never been there). My concern was getting back home to AKL. If we are before DHS closes at 7, then yep, we could boat it back to DHS and catch the bus to AKL, otherwise, I have to figure out another plan. We aren't doing hoppers this trip!

Thanks for all the info though. If it came down to it, we could just grab a bus from the Boardwalk Hotel to MK and then jump on another AKL. Time consuming, but free ;)

You could bus to DTD also.
