Boat from Contemporary to FW campgound?

Is there a boat that goes from the Contemporary to ft Wilderness campground? And if so does anyone know how long it takes? Tina

Yes, the launch to FW leaves from the marina in back of the hotel.
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Sometimes there are two boats running in opposite directions. Watch to see whether the boat is coming from WL or from across the lake. You will get there faster on the boat that is coming from WL (the other one will make a WL stop before FW).

The above is completely incorrect as the information provided is out of date. This was changed at the beginning of this past summer.

The Blue flag motor launches no longer run in opposite directions on Bay Lake. Until 3 p.m., these launches run in a clockwise direction and counter-clockwise after 3 p.m. until going out of service promptly at 11:30 p.m.

Leaving WDW??? What are you referring to??? The Whispering Canyon Cafe is in the WDW (all 26,000+ acres of it) at the Wilderness Lodge.

You cannot leave the WDW by boat.

There was no reason to be rude. You could have simply posted the new info and the date it changed. Seeing the boats traveling different directions during my September 07 trip, there was no reason for me to believe there had been a change, which by your own admission, was a recent one.

I simply was trying to let the OP know that if the boat is stopping at WL on the way, the trip will take longer. So, part of what I said is correct. If the boats are now running counterclockwise after 3pm, then it will take longer to get to FW from CR than it will during the morning when the boat is running clockwise. Allow about 10 minutes for a clockwise route, and about 15-20 for a counterclockwise route. Be sure to allow an extra 15-20 minutes, to wait for the boat at the dock.

I did mean the MK. I apoligize, I am new to DIS so I am not sure of the lingo.

We have Lunch planned at WL and will be at MK- We are staying at CR. Since I am not sure of the Route the boats take (what stops are included) I am still not sure how long it will take to get to WL from MK
