We are going to be camping at FW in June. I would really like to do the family boat and bike plan. I know that Wilderness Lodge has it. Does anyone know if you can do the boat and bike plan at the Fort Wilderness marina?

Thanks!!

I have seen it before but couldnt say for sure if its still going. I would assume yes but a call to the bike barn would give you a definite answer as well as a price. 407-824-2742

I haven't seen or heard any mention of it in a couple of years, nor noticed it on price lists at the resorts. It'd be nice if they still had it!

As far as I know, they still have the plan in place (at least I know they did 2 years ago). It's not something they advertise regularly, why is beyond me. I think more people would take advantage of the plan if they knew it existed.

If you're going to be in the Fort for more than a couple days, and you enjoy some time out on the water, it's really a great deal.

okay, I'll bite what is the boat and bike plan?

Taken from MousePlanet.com

There are also Recreation Family Plans for those parties who expect to make use of the WaterMouse and pontoon boats. These plans are open to any resort guests, but if you were staying at a different resort, you would need to come to the Ft. Wilderness Marina to use the boats under the plan. These same plans may be offered at other resorts with full marinas as well. I know last Thanksgiving they had the plans available at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

The Captain Plan allows the family to use 4 hours of rental (total; not per person) for $115 plus tax. Since the normal rental is approximately $30 per hour, this plan provides minimal savings.

The Family Plan is a weekly rate for unlimited use of the WaterMouse and pontoon boats for up to four people. The cost is $199 plus tax and is a flat fee whether you will be staying a full week or only a few days. This plan is very attractive to my teen son, who would like nothing better than to spend a week at Villas at Wilderness Lodge and spend all of his days on a WaterMouse. To be fair to other guests, people on the plan can take a boat out for an hour at a time. If nobody is waiting to rent that boat at the end of the hour, they can stay out for another hour. Otherwise they have to return the boat and wait for the next one to be available.

And this is from WDisneyW.co.uk (this shows prices for the Wilderness Lodge, although I'm sure the price would be the same at Fort Wilderness)

Family Plan
Unlimited recreation at Wilderness Lodge for length of stay (* up to 7 days) with boat and bike rentals excluding surrey bikes $211.94
Captain's Plan
4 hours of boat/bike rentals excluding surrey bikes $122.48

I think these plans have been discontinued in favor of the newer recreation package add-ons you can get with the Disney vacation package (room, tickets, meals, recreation). It's now part of the platinum plan IIRC.
I had planned on doing one of these last time we stayed and was told it wasn't available.

Does anyone know how much the pontoon boats cost per hour?

I wasn't thinking it was available, but I'd preferred to have been wrong!
