Boardwalk worth it?

Just a minor correction on your map, Robo...item #20 listed as "Gazebo" is actually called Sea Breeze Point.;)

While most people wouldn't care (or notice)...it IS a popular spot for Disney weddings (and where I got married):lovestruc

Thanks. I'll get to work on fixing that.

(But it IS a gazebo... we have just never been formerly introduced until now. ;) )

As residents of the Atlantic City, NJ area, we loved seeing the boardwalk since it is after all themed after the Atlantic City boardwalk. We had dinner at the ESPN club and loved the stroll along the boards after we where done. We are going to make this an annual stop on our trips!

If you want to dine there or visit ESPN Club or Jelly Rolls Dueling-Piano Bar, or see a few
street performers in the evening, its just fine.

You can ride a Disney bus from Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom.

You can ride a Friendship or walk from DHS.

Thanks. Glad you like the map(s)!

I found them lying around on my hard drive. ;)

OK Robo, I give...Are you an addict? Or do you work at WDW in some capacity? You're quite impressive...

Hiwaygal--Totally OT, but I LOVE your dogs' costumes!! And the 'voice' you've given them is hilarious!

It's a neat place to wander around for a couple of hours. There are a few carnival games (basketball hoops, ring toss, etc.), and the kids might (or might not) like a surrey bike ride. None of that is free, but the street performers are if you happen to catch an act or two. There are several good restaurants along the Boardwalk, at the Swan/Dolphin, and Yacht & Beach Clubs, but shopping...not so much. The Yacht Club does have one shop that's more of a boutique than the standard Disney gift shops, and you could also go for ice cream at Beaches & Cream. As someone else mentioned, you can also stroll over toward the International Gateway and watch IllumiNations without going into the park :goodvibes

We ate at the Big River Grille and Brewery on our last trip---very good and the cheesecake dessert to die for!!!

Not many shops. Really just the gift shop and the candy store, I think. The restaurants are all nice.

The ambience is neat. Strolling around at night FEELS neat. We liked spending time at the Boardwalk with our 7 year old. She was SO into the carnival games and we won 2 stuffed animals for her. It's a really good vacation memory!

We like to spend an evening there mostly based on our fav resturant (Spoodles). I do suggest going in the evening though because many of the performers and boardwalk games do not come out till evening. We usually get a drink and stroll the boardwalk stopping where we please.

Thanks...but I can't take credit. I got the pic from LOLDogs
