I love the location of these resorts and have never stayed at either. Just wanting to get some opinions from some who have stayed at these. I plan on staying at one or the other next year. Thanks.

I have only stayed at BWI and we love it. Spent 2 week-long trips there last year. It's relatively small, easy access to EPCOT, love spending evenings on our balcony overlooking the Boardwalk. Or you can sit down by the water at the tables set up down there and grab a quick pizza slice or a lobster roll and watch the evening performers. BC has an awesome pool of course so that would sway people with families.

You can't go wrong with either.

We love the BWI and have stayed five times and counting! We stayed at the Yacht club just once and just didn't like it. To be fair we had one of the furthest rooms from the lobby that you can get at the YC but it was more than that. We had little ones at the time and I did not like the pool at all. Way to hard to keep track of the young ones. Any of the epcot resorts are wonderful for the location though, and we love the Beaches and Cream for a quick afternoon ice cream treat.

We have stayed at both & love both BC is a bit closer to Epcot & has SAB, the best pool on property. BWI is closer to DHS & has the Boardwalk action. You can't go wrong with either.

We love both! It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want to be closer to EP and have access to a bigger pool, go BC. Also, if you think you will use a kids club, I would do BC as well. If you would rather be closer so you can walk to DHS and you would like more CS variety, go BWI.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one. BC and BWI are our all-time favorite resorts and I usually pick based on pricing for our dates and/or what the focus of our trip is. For example, we did a week at BCV and made great use of the pool last April. Over a long weekend in May, we stayed at BWV because our main focus was Star Wars weekend at DHS.

Both are great resorts. The BC has Storm along Bay, which is admittedly a wonderful pool area. It is also the closest that you can get to Epcot. Woods view rooms at the Epcot end of the resort allow listening to the UK music from your balcony. Some rooms allow viewing of the higher Illuminations fireworks.

The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. This is a very laid back resort. You can easily walk to the BWI and take advantage of all the night time excitement over there. Also the dining at the BW is almost as easily accessed from the BC. The YC is also right next door with its dining options. Finally, World Showcase is in your backyard. There are lots of nearby dining options.

However, the quick service options are limited or spread out in nearby areas, so less convenient than at some resorts.
The BC rooms can be small and some rooms do not have a sit down balcony. They have "Juliet' balconies with standing room only.
SAB is awesome, but frequently crowded and it is difficult to keep track of children due to the sprawling nature of the pool.

The BWI is great. It is nicely situated between the DHS and Epcot. Easy walking to the Swan/Dolphin and BC makes dining options at these resorts easily accessible. Of course, World Showcase is very near as well. The atmosphere is very fun. Surrey bikes and buskers are inviting and entertaining. A stay here is upbeat and energizing.

Restaurants here are all outside so you have to leave the building and go out to the boardwalk to access them. The pool has a crazy clown slide. Some people find it creepy! Rooms are beautiful and most have full balconies, although there is variation in size.

Whichever you choose, you will love the easy access to two theme parks.

Enjoy!

I vote BWI for everything except the pool. So, if you and your family are planning on having a lot of pool time, then by all means the BC. Otherwise, without hesitation, I would say stay at the BWI--I liked it a lot better than the BC as far as the room and atmosphere. BWI definitely has that cosy feel and I loved it. Once I've stayed at all the deluxe and mods (I'm getting there), I will definitely be a regular at the BWI or Polynesian (my other favorite).

BC is our family favorite. DH was actually disappointed when we stayed at the Poly. We loved the resort. I'd go back but I love a bit of change so we're trying other resorts!

I think more info would be beneficial if we knew the make up of your group.

As other have stated, the pool at the Beach Club is much better but Boardwalk is fine as long as you don't have a clown fear :)

I've stayed at both and since it's just my husband and I with no kids, I'd go with the Boardwalk before the Beach Club. When we stayed at the Beach Club, our room was on a hallway that led to the stairs to the lobby and we were awoken each morning with lots of families on their way out so that was not a good thing for us. Also, at the Beach Club, there are smaller balconies and we requested a full balcony and got one so that was good.

At the Boardwalk, I requested a water view and we were put alllllllllllllll the way down the hall with a view of the canal and that was fine as we just used the stairs to get to where we were going and we only had neighbors on the one side of the room (we were right next to the stairs allllllllllllll the way down the hall). The second time we stayed there, with my in-laws, we had a one bedroom place right above where the now DVC selling place now is. The request was just for an Epcot view (my mother-in-law's request) and it was a great room but not something everyone is going to be able to enjoy.

We are not huge pool people and don't mind walking a bit to our room so that's why Boardwalk wins for me over the Beach Club. But, if I had to stay at the Beach Club, I'd be fine with that too.
