Boardwalk Villa's

We have the Boardwalk Villa's 2brm unit booked for 9days in May. I however and a little nervous about spending the amount that it is costing us. The pictures I have seen on the dis boards are making me nervous. I am wondering if they are getting a little run down. We have stayed on site many times CBR and BC once but recently the past 2 years have stayed offsite at the Caribe Royale. We were in a 2 brdm unit and absolutley loved it. The only downfall was not being on site. I am just worried that the room won't live up to my expectation for the $ we are paying. Anyone have any thoughts on this???

You might want to ask this question on the DVC Community Board. A lot of the people there are "regular visitors" there

We stayed at the Boardwalk a couple of years ago, and although I loved the atmosphere of staying there, I was disappointed in the rooms. I thought they were a little run down and terribly overpriced. As I said, that was a couple of years ago, and I don't know what they are like at this time. I don't think I would choose to stay there again.

But...the atmosphere was alot of fun and it was a short walk to Epcot. Just something to think about.

I am a DVC member, renting from disney direct can be alot , you may want to look into renting points from a member it can save alot of money, as far a being run down never had a problen there . They are constantly doing maintainance on the buildings you may hear people complain from time to time but you can't please every one

We stayed in a 1BR at the BW a couple years ago. There is nothing like the feeling of staying at this property - being right there on the BW with all the great restaurants and shops, right on the lake. And being in such spacious rooms being able to spread out. The views are great, and being able to walk to MGM and Epcot. Like the other person said, you may want to check out the DVC boards regarding the room reports and how things are. I can't imagine Disney letting these rooms become rundown! It was absolutely perfect when we were there. The pool is great there, community hall with lots of activities, bike rentals, playground, etc. If your concerns worry you too much, have you considered BCV across the lake - it's newer, same pricing, and SAB!!!!!
