? Boardwalk Villas ?

Couple of questions:

1). Did everyone know that they started a new thing where they charge you 45 days in advance for your ENTIRE STAY when you book a DVC property to rent? I thought this was strange. I don't mind so much, but it's the first time I've ever had to pre-pay the entire stay!!

2). We booked the 2-bedroom Boardwalk Villas. Is there anything special we should request regarding location?

3). Does this room have laundry machines in it? I've heard they do but can't find out for sure.

4). Does the kitchen have a microwave?

5). Do any Boardwalk restaurants deliver food to the rooms?

you'll have a washer/dryer and microwave. do you know if you have a standard or preferred view? We like the standard views close to the tennis courts (but they're a long walk to the elevator). As to preferred views, you have your choice of Boardwalk, clown pool or quiet pool.

We didn't request either. Sounds like I want the Standard room though.

Be sure to request BW View if possible (preferred view), little noisy but the view is awesome and its fun to watch the bw from your deck and EPCOT fireworks. All the local restaraunts are on the room service menu which is really a nice touch.

mdf, you are going to love the BWV, BW view is the best but you will enjoy the room either way. Get ready to be spoiled. This room is big, and I mean big. It will be tough for you to say in a regular room again. If it is not to late to cancel your reservation, you might want to look into renting DVC points. It will be much cheaper then paying cash thru disney. A 7 night stay should cost you $3060.00 if you rent. The going rate is 10.00 a point. That price would be for a standard view. You should really check out the DVC rent/trade board. Your room has a full size washer and dryer with enough soap for one load of laundry. Your kitchen is a full size kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, dishwaser, all amenities for 8 people. You can order groceries from the screen door on the boardwalk and they will deliver them right to your room. If ou order them three days in advance your order will be ready to deliver on the day you arrive. Have a great trip.

You can order off the same room service menu all the guest at the Boardwalk Inn and Villas use. The food comes from all the different restaurants on the boardwalk.

We have stayed at the Boardwalk Villas several times. You will love the jacuzzi tub, the washer and dryer and the full kitchen. Have a great time!

Thanks for the great info. I'm excited now!!

Next year we are going to join the DVC. It will be much easier for us in the future. Can't do it this year since we are building a new house.
