I'm pretty sure the 2nd floor (or some of it) is smoking, we hate smoking rooms but I think we took one once by accident (it was 2nd floor anyway) and we didn't even notice. They also have the largest balconies.
It doesn't really matter what rooms are smoking or not... It will come down to IS THERE a smoking room available... If not, then you only smoke outside on the balcony. So, if you have to take a non-smoking room... get one as high up as possible to minimize your drifting smoke effects on neighbors. That is what we do... Ok there, I have admitted it... I smoke... naturalist that I am. I am, though, very aware of how my smoke might be taken in by others and do what I can to minimize my impact on the environment. Never leave butts behind, and always realize wind direction and how near others are. I smoked when I was young and then quit for 13 YEARS! Somehow I have been taken back by the smoke. I hope and pray (every day) that I can kick the habit again, for good. I hope the community doesn't think worse of me because of my addiction. It is an ongoing struggle.
We just had a smoking-optional 1 bedroom BW view. It was 2049. Very large balcony. Didn't check to see which other rooms were smoking, except that our friends had 2051, also BW view 1 bedroom and it was non-smoking.
Nope. Not at all.
I don't smoke... I was actually asking this question to try to avoid being given a smoking room.
If all smokers were as courteous as you, the non-smoking population would have nothing to complain about.
