Boardwalk View...Have I Missed Something?

I recently made a reservation for a 1 BR preferred view at the Boardwalk in June...do you want a Boardwalk view, I was asked...of course I do!

When I received my confirmation, it had Boardwalk view. I should have questioned MS if the practice had changed of just being able to "request" a desired view, but I didn't.

So, has there been change in the reservations system and can we now guarantee our view?

Sometime last summer they announced a guaranteed boardwalk view category. The Preferred category is now split into 2 subcategories - Preferred Boardwalk View and Preferred Garden/Pool View. Both are the same preferred points as before. You reserve one or the other, so you know up front what you will be getting. They said they had too many people requesting boardwalk view and being disappointed when they didn't get it. Boardwalk views are only about 11% of the total rooms.

Boy...that shows how far behind I really am. I guess I should try to keep up better!
