I wouldn’t do a studio with 3 adults and a tween. You’ll have a queen bed, a sleeper sofa and very close quarters. In addition, only one bathroom would be a dealbreaker for me.

IMO, once you have more than 2 adults in a studio you’re getting into a crowded situation. At least one adult is going to be stuck with a sofa bed. And BVW doesn’t have the nicer wall beds. These are true sofa beds...heavy with thin mattresses.

Another no vote! Those sofa beds are so uncomfortable and they take up most of the floor space when opened.

If your heart is set on BWV, then look into being able to rent points for the 1 or 2 bedroom.

Otherwise, I'd look at 2 rooms at a moderate so you have the 2 bathrooms.

We slept 3 adults in one, my son and his then wife on the bed, me on the sofa bed. I'm a small woman, 5'2" so there was more than enough room for me. I probably could have shared it with a tween had they been small as well. As far a comfort, it was a sofa bed but better than the one we have at home, I didn't get up all bent over. We only pulled the bed out just before time for me to turn in. One bathroom was a little issue but no worse than a one bedroom at AKV, which also only had one bathroom although the water closet was in a different room so some could be showering and someone else using the toilet. We made do.

The sofa bed is the big problem. As long as one of the adults is ok with sleeping on it you will be fine. Any hotel room with 4 people is close quarters and a lot of us bought dvc because we wanted a little space to spread out in a larger unit. The bigger the unit the better but if that’s not in your budget a studio would be fit you guys fine. We just did a split stay between poly and boardwalk and while the second shower at poly was nice there was less living and storage space so it felt pretty cramped with the couch pulled out.

We have stayed in a studio with two adults and two tweens. The adults have the bed, one tween has the sofa bed and one tween has the pull down bed (she’s 5’ about 95 lbs). All of the studios I’ve stayed in at the BWV did have the pull down bed.

Room gets tight with the bed pulled out, but it's not pulled out all the time. One bathroom was also not a big deal, we had a routine and it worked out great. The ISSUE was the comfort of the pullout, not bad for kids, but for adults I would not want to do it again. We ended up rotating who slept on it. LOL

What are you considering as alternatives?

I'd say, for the location, it's worth being a little cramped but walking into Epcot or HS if your other option is, say, two rooms at a value or moderate. We stayed in one for 8 nights with a family of 5, took turns in the bathroom, and went out on to the balcony if space was feeling tight.

Is the third adult your child who happens to be an adult or someone else? If your own kid or someone you're all really close to, I totally think it's doable. We've stayed (and are staying again this summer) in a studio with DH, me, a teen and a tween. DH and I on the bed, teen on the sofa bed, and tween on the pulldown bed. We keep the sofa bed as a sofa until bedtime and it immediately goes back up in the morning. Having the balcony also makes it feel less cramped.

For a night or two in a pinch, but not much longer than that. The room is small.

You’ll have more room but fewer sleeping surfaces. A BWV 1BR has a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. That’s it. Someone is still going to be sleeping on a pullout sofa, except they will be sharing it with someone else.
