Do all boardwalk studio rooms have a balcony? And is there a specific location that is preferable to another? (just so that I can make a request.. I realize it isn't guaranteed).
Thanks:)

yes all have a balcony.

if you can get it - the BW view

if you can't the quiet pool or the lagoon view. just don't take the main pool view - that clown can get to you if you look at it for a week.

our studio overlooked the boardwalk at the center where the courtyard is! It was a great view!

If you book through CRO, you do not reserve a view. You get whatever is left after DVC reservations, which is usually pool/garden view.

If you booked using DVC points, did you get a standard view or preferred view? And if you got preferred view, did you get BW view? 60% of the villas are preferred, non-BW view villas. They overlook the leisure pool, Luna Park pool and the Village Green.

Thank you so much for clarifying.
I did not book with DVC points. I started planning this trip before I realized that was a possibility. However dh to be actually used the words "Next time we go" when referring to Disney so I can look into that for our next trip:thumbsup2
I just booked a studio with my TA and she and I could not figure out why her info said that "All studios have a standard parking lot view" when the map showed that was a very small percentage of rooms.
Now it makes more sense that it is based on availibilty *after* DVC people book.
Thanks:)

Those standard parking lot views are highly sought after by BWV members. They cost fewer points than the preferred views and the views are really not that bad. You need to tell your TA, that you will probably have a pool view or other water view. Not the parking lot view and not the BW view.

We stay in the Boardwalk studios quite often, and we usually request room #3007, and have gotten it the last 3 times. Granted, its at the very end of the hall, but it has a great view, and there is a staircase that leads to an exit right next to the room. Saves us time getting to the Boardwalk, or the walkway to MGM cause we dont have to go all the way back to the lobby. Great view of the BW, and Epcot.....
