boardwalk standard view

Good for saving points, after all how much are you in the room. But those boardwalk views are OUTSTANDING!

I have to agree with you. Those boardwalk views are OUTSTANDING!! And I'm going to splurge on some points for it! It is worth every point!:thumbsup2

We just stayed in a standard 1BR at BWV the second week in December. Thanks to some advice on these boards, we requested upper floor, corner unit. Unfortunately, those were occupied, but we got the room next to what we requested (asked for 3123 or 4123). We got 3121 and, if there wasn't a tree growing right in front of our balcony the Illuminations view would have been outstanding. We still saw the fireworks every night, we just had to watch through the leaves and branches! I'm trying to find some pictures to post.

The room was great though, as it was our first time with a 1BR (we usually get studios). It was almost (dare I say it) too much room for 2 adults and 2 small children (2yrs & 5yrs) on a short visit. Couldn't beat the point value, though. Only 16 points for a 1BR!

We did miss the boardwalk view, though. In October we stayed on the 5th floor, in a studio. I can't remember the room number, but it was almost the last room at the very end of the boardwalk (under the waves) by the Atlantic Dance Hall. The view was spectacular!!

As far as a quiet room, just ask for the end of a hallway. Most of the noise comes from hallway traffic or baggage handling, and both of those are at the beginning of the hallway.

We were upgraded to a pool/water view from the standard that we had booked for our trip this December. We overlooked the quiet pool and the canal to MGM and Swalphin. I prefer the standard view. Nothing like watching fireworks from your balcony before you go to bed. I also noticed that had we been able to walk on water, the Swalphin bus stop might have been a closer walk. :confused3

We appreciated the pixie dust and kick-butt mousekeeper! We had lots of towel art.

I book Standard view whenever possible just because I am a cheapsteak with points... (Gotta make 'em stretch you know..)

We have never gotten a bad view... (Once, we even got an upgrade to a view of Luna Park...)
