Can i ask people here from someone that has never been, how is the Boardwalk at night is it fine to walk with 10yr old girl or is it in any way rowdy around the bars thanks in advance..

I agree. We stay at BWI a lot with DS7 and have never encountered any rowdy drunk people. The entertainment is a lot of fun!

I have never experience anything close to rowdy behavior on the Boardwalk. It is really the most pleasant time walking on the Boardwalk, playing games, enjoying the entertainers and snacking - ice cream or Bakery treats. Very G rated, very Disney.

agree with above posters. G rated and one of the things my kids look most forward to.

I can't add anything but only reiterate what PP's have said. Fun time for all ages in the evening.

As everyone else said, it will be fine. We have visited the boardwalk many times over the years and have never seen any rowdy behavior. It's actually nice and relaxing at times to just stroll along the boardwalk taking in the scenery.

I couldn't think of bars in the Boardwalk area that would attract rowdiness. It's all very family-oriented fun. And it's too hard to park there if you're not staying at WDW, so that probably has an overall positive effect. I think rowdy at WDW is most associated with DTD. But with the "old-style" Pleasure Island gone, DTD has tamed down, too. We've been to Boardwalk at night many, many times. Kind-of subdued, actually, with street performers here and there.

My 6 and 8 year old girls really enjoyed it. It's very kid-friendly. In fact we enjoyed it so much it was a priority to make time for it on our upcoming trip.

Great way to spend a few hours at night. Usually boardwalk entertainment includes a juggler or magician and nothing more risqué than that.

Honestly, I don't think that kind of rowdy exists on Disney property. Not the kind of rowdy where you'd have to be worried about walking by a place with your daughter.

As a PP said, way back in the day, Pleasure Island could get a little rowdy late at night, but I never considered it dangerous. There were nightclubs, but they were Disney-fied nightclubs. But PI is long gone, and DTD/Disney Springs is just a shopping/dining/family entertainment complex these days.

Last September, our nearly 13yo daughter asked if she could run ahead of us from Epcot to get into our Boardwalk Villas room by herself. It was no problem. I was more concerned of her getting lost finding the right room than I was about her safety. She just agreed to text us when she was inside the room or if she had any problems.

Atlantic Dance Hall opens at 9:00 PM. Jellyrolls at 7:00 PM. Both are limited to over 21 years of age. The other "bars" would be the ESPN Club which serves food and has an appeal to a lot of families and the Big River Grille which also has food (and good burgers) and which families like to have a meal as well. There are "bars" all around Crescent Lake, including pools bars, but you'd get that at any Disney resort.

Very family friendly! It's so fun to watch the magicians or other entertainers (don't know what nights they perform; seems like years ago it was nightly, but I don't know now).
Nice to grab a hot dog, pizza slice, or ice cream and wander around.
