Believe this or not, I have never been over to the Boardwalk area, and was thinking about checking it out on this trip.

Probably late afternoon, early evening. Is there any restaurants any one suggests.....or "snacky" things I should check out while we are down there?

Only thing my wife and i have had at the Boardwalk is Spoodles pizza by the slice. It was very good, some of the best pizza we've ever eaten!

One of the best restaurants on the Boardwalk is Spoodles. Also, you may want to consider restaurants in the Beach and Yacht club as well as the Swan and Dolphin which are within a five minute walk of the boardwalk. LOL. ::MickeyMo

We had a really good dinner at Spoodles and enjoyed the entertainment on the Boardwalk after dinner. Spoodles has a tapas menu if you just want appetizer like food.

We ate at the Big River Grille and it was very good, had the flame grilled meatloaf. It is also a micro brewery so if you like beer it is a good choice.

For more casual food and good beer, I like Big River Grille. That already mentioned meatloaf is excellent!! Try to sit outside if possible--inside is pretty "drab".

For a more upscale meal, I like Flying Fish.

Spoodle's is one of our "every trip" places. We would not think of missing it. The food is wonderful! I would skip the pizza window and come inside and order from the menu. There are many great choices. I love the filet, DD22 loves the pork chop and we both love the pastas.

Next door is the Boardwalk Bakery. We never have room for anything after Spoodle's, but we take it back to our room. Many a midnight snack has come from the bakery!::yes::

Have fun!

For the time frame that you mentioned, I would stop at "Beaches and Cream," and then take a walk on the Boardwalk. You can end your evening by watching Illuminations from the bridge that crosses over to the Boardwalk from the Beach Club.

I also agree that "Spoodles" is pretty good. We've had dinner and breakfast there, and we've never had a bad meal. Enjoy!

Also, the ESPN Club is at the Boardwalk. It is a great place for appetizers in the afternoon.

Ill second ESPN...especially if you have any sports fans in your party.
Beaches & Cream at the BC is a good idea too.

hi all:wave:
what are the kids meals like at spoodles and espn,my youngest son is very pickey but the rest of us would like to try out these places::yes::

thanks eve::MinnieMo

Flying Fish has excellent food. We like many of the Epcot resort restaurants--they have many wonderful restauarants, but our favorite is Flying Fish.

Spoodles is one of our favorites - the tapas menu makes dinner unnecessary!!!!!! Also, try the ESPN club - great big hot dogs in a basket - my DH and DS love them (and they get to watch sports without me complaining about it!!!!). The Flying Fish is very elegant and has some very different selections!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Big River Grille for sure. We were there at BC for 10 days and that was the best dinner we had. We ate out on the patio. My hubby got the meatloaf. We asked what made it so good. It is mad out of mostly italian sausage instead of ground beef. I had the walnut crusted chicken with garlic mashed potatos with sun dried cherry sauce. It was excellent. My dad got the filet medallions with garlic mashed. He like it so well he went back the next day. My dad is really picky so I know that it was good to please him. Then you can walk to Epcot see Ulluminations and then walk back to the BC and get some of the best ice cream you will ever have at Beaches and Cream. I don't even really like ice cream and I got a rootbear float. Out of this world. We stayed at the BC and got ice cream every night we were there. Have fun Brenda

Spoodles is one of our favorite places to eat at WDW. We always have to eat there at least once on every trip. The Boardwalk area is such a neat place to hang out in the evening. Take a stroll around the whole Boardwalk area and just enjoy the great atmosphere.
