for the last night of our stay I figured we would want to stay around our resort since we have an early flight the next morning. In your opinion is the best Boardwalk Area Restaurant???? Trattoria al forna, ESPN Club, or Big River Grill & Brewing. Or would it be a better option to go somewhere else that is close? We already have an ADR for Cape May Cafe at the BC and I tried to get an ADR for Beaches and Cream, but they are all taken for our dates. As of right now we only have a 1 park per day ticket and will be at DHS earlier, or I thought about hopping to EPCOT, I just want to stay close so we can relax and pre- pack.

Yachtsman in my opinion. Or hear over to the Swolphin and go to Il Mulino. That is a favorite of mine as well.

I loved the Yachtsman in October, but it is expensive. The restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin get great reviews too.
If y ou want to stick to the Boardwalk I would go to Big River Grille.
Have Fun

Agree with the others that Yachtsman is your best bet or Flying Fish if it is back open when you are there. Alternatively I'd keep trying to beaches and cream. Of those you mentioned we've only done ESPN in the past and it was fine but nothing special.

If Flying Fish is back open when you're there then definitely give it a shot. If not then as others have said Yachtsman for steak, or possibly Bluezoo if you want seafood.

For a relaxing meal at your resort, I would go to Trattoria al Forno. The food and service are very good and the meal won't be as long (or expensive!) as Yachtsman or a Swan/Dolphin restaurant. We've eaten there twice and have really enjoyed it. If you want a more upscale meal, I would recommend bluezoo at the Dolphin. Of all the restaurants in the EP resort area, that is the best IMHO, but it will take longer and will cost more, plus you would need to walk over to the Dolphin.

If a meat fan, Shulas steakhouse is great, pricey..but great food. If just looking for a ok meal, wings burgers and beer, ESPN is a good place.

Trattoria Al Forno is really good. ESPN is good also, though a bit loud. Stay clear of Big River. Wish I liked it as it would give us another option at BW.

ESPN isn't a bad place to watch a game but I thought the food was only so-so. I wouldn't personally go there just for dinner. It also can have a very long wait depending on what is going on in the sports world. Agree with others that Yachtsman is good but it is really expensive. We wouldn't pay for it out of pocket, but if cost is no concern then it would be a good choice. Captain's Grille gets good reviews and I enjoy their breakfast but haven't eaten dinner there. I have had a few dishes at Crew's Cup Lounge that I really enjoyed and those are prepared in the Captain's Grille kitchen.

We've eaten at them all as BWI is our favorite resort
Trattoria is good food but we've always had really poor service there, even when it's not crowded
ESPN is high on our list. We did a F&W event there last year and met the head chef. I really like the menu he's developed and we are sports fans. It's a great combo
The original Big River Grille is in our home town and we eat there all the time so we only go when we want a home town beer and maybe their spinach dip.
Captain's Grille was very good.
Yachtsman was very good. If it's in your budget I would give it a try.
Keep trying for Beaches and Cream too. They have really tasty food.

All of these options sound wonderful, however I really do not want to spend a lot since I will have our 2 year old with us and as most know dinner can be enjoyable or horrible just depending on their mood. That is one reason we are not doing expensive places this trip. We are also doing the Regular dinning plan with 1 QS and 1 TS, but they will be used up by our ADR's before our last day. I'm think either Captain's Grill, Trattoria al fornia, and also keep trying for Beaches and Cream. If you have thoughts on these 3 please let me know. Thanks!

I love all 3 of those
They are quite different and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them

We've done Captain's Grill for breakfast and dinner as walk-ins and were really pleased with both meals. I'd have chosen Yachtsman like other posters, but among those you identified, CG is my choice.

We've eaten dinner at all four of them, ESPN, Trattoria, Big River Grille, and Captain's Grille. ESPN Club is noisy but you can get a very causal and inexpensive meal here. We like Trattoria al Forno but it does have a limited menu. Big River Grille is fine for sitting at an outdoor table and having a burger or appetizer, but the food is just average. Captain's Grille has a nice, quiet dining room and good food. I suggest you check the menus for these restaurants and see which one appeals to you.

Another vote for Trattoria! Amazing food and dessert! you won't be disappointed!!

Not sure when you're going, but if it's open, Flying Fish for sure. Didn't like Trattoria at all.
