I think it all goes back to location ,location, location, parenting skills, lack of respect for what you invest in, and the "newer DVCers" buying at a location they do not plan on using very much. I've seen the lack of parenting skills in the parks, on the cruise line, and in the grocery store--lets have Bobby and Sally handle/give everything they get their hands on and run a muck all over the place. Absolutely NO boundries given to the child-they tell the parents what they will do or have! Also housekeeping is coming--so lets just trash the room -hence longer to clean. I know Dan and I are actually more concious of keeping our resort room/cruise cabin more tidey while on vacation. Disney's probably operating on a fewer employees /same ammount of work to do-all coming down to the bottom line profitability to the company. I know in the grocery business customers have no concept of why items are not out and tasks might not be done right away like they used to be in the "old days".--but we try to be accommodating as much as possible.
I also think people are buying in now with the intention of using the "prime" DVC properties location for peak times to visit. I am wondering if its all comming down to too many members/resorts taxing the system?
