Sort of last minute add on but all they had available was BWV 2 bed garden/water view.

We added on to a two day AKV/Kidani stay and we're going to do the QSDP, but after reading some of the posts here it sounds like qS is not too convenient to Kidani and ? NO QS at BW? Is there anywhere near boardw for kids to get fries, burgers, grilled cheese, breakfast?

How deep is the pool? I heard the slide is really big.

I don't usually make a room requests, are there any bad rooms? We have a 2bed pool/garden view.

thanks!

The Boardwalk Bakery offers some breakfast sandwiches, cold cereals, muffins, yogurt, etc... When I was there in March they had signs up with what you could buy to make up a QS meal. I unfortunately can't remember!

Not much for kid-friendly lunch options at the Boardwalk Bakery, but the Beach Club Marketplace at the BCV has some of those uncrustable PB&J sandwiches that I believe you can combine with other items for a kid's QS meal.

Beaches and Cream over at the BCV does offer burgers and hot dogs for kids, but it looks like they are not on the QS plan (according to Disney's 2009 QS brochure).

And I'm not much help with the slide or room views. We only stayed there once with a BW view!

I think the deepest part of the pool is 4 ft. If I remember correctly, when you come out of the slide it's about 3 and a half ft deep. The slide is tall and really fun.

The main disadvantage of the BW is the lack of counter service. For breakfast, go to the bakery or the Belle Vue lounge. There are more options at the bakery.

The bakery and the pool bar have sandwiches. There's a stand on the Boardwalk that sells corn dogs, chicken tenders, etc. I don't think it's open at lunch. And it's cash only, you can't charge there. Spoodles walkup window serves mainly pizza, nasty pizza.

Hurricane Hannahs at the BC has a grill for hot sandwiches. (it's next to SAB).

I don't make requests for my rooms either, and we've haven't been disappointed yet.

Enjoy your trip!

Large portions of the pool, including the area at the bottom of the slide, is 3.5 feet deep. But there are deeper sections between 4 and 5 feet as well.

I think the Spoodles pizza window has much better pizza than the typical Disney pizza I've attempted to eat elsewhere, but Spoodles pizza window was/is? not on the DDP (well, you could get a room-service pizza for 2 adult TS credits but what do you do with the extra child credits...)

I think you can still get 2 bakery (including giant cinnamon rolls!) items plus drink for a single QS credit at the BWV bakery. Overall BWV is not an ideal place to use many in-house QS credits (which is fustrating when you think of the pizza window and the stands not on the plan) But EPCOT is probably the best place in Disney to use QS credits....

Thanks, I should have specified the kids are 10 and 13 --so would be adults on the Dining plan-but we were just doing the QS plan. I may just put the money I would have paid for the dining plan on DISNEY gift cards instead, then we can use them at other places (Like Beaches/Cream).

My 10 doesn't like the deep water too much, but if the slide comes out at 3.5 feet he'll be fine.

I'll have to check out the counter service at Epcot. Thanks!

Anyone know what this is, what they serve...I was just checking out the QS flyer and Belle Vue Room is listed as a boardwalk Quick Service restaurant. Is it their retail store/gift shop?

The Belle Vue Room is the bar/lounge. It's on the 2nd floor(same floor as check-in), Inn side. In the morning they have continental breakfast items like donuts, danishes, fruit, bagels, etc.
