In the summer, how late is the BW Pool open ? And how late is the slide open?

We will be at BWV in early August, and we were wondering if we could swim in the main pool at night. My daughter has a diagnosis that requires her to stay out of the sun. She uses sunscreen of course, but swimming at night is much less stressful.

We own at BCV and the main pool closes early (for safety reasons I assume).

Thanks!

The themed pool (Luna Park) would be similar to SAB. When the lifeguards can't see safely enough, it is closed. The leisure pool (quiet pool) should probably be open until about midnight.

oh, ok. I thought SAB was harder to see the bottom at night, esp with the sand. And of course areas like the lazy river would be impossible to police in the dark.

I was hoping the BW pool was more like the pool at WL, which is open late (isn't it? I know I have swam there when it is dark).

At BWV, isn't only the slide closed when there are no lifeguards? I'm just asking because I've seen people in the water with the slide closed, but maybe they weren't supposed to be there.

That's my understanding- the slide will close but the pool will remain open. CM's have said that hours are posted but are used only to enforce if noise should get out of control.

The pools are never closed (unless they are working on them), they just don't have life guards. And of course if you were making enough noise to upset the guests, you'd be asked to break it up (whether in the pool or not).

My sister in law specifically asked about this because she has psoriasis and prefers to swim when there are no strangers around.

Yes thought same; slide will be closed when lifeguards are off-duty and swimming is at own risk.

No, the pools specifically have hours that they are open posted on the sign at the pool. They aren't open 24 hours a day.

10pm is good for us! Thanks.

SAB is NOT open to 10pm, if my memory serves me correctly.

So this trip to BWV instead of BCV will be nice. (just booked it a few days ago, for 6 weeks from now!)

we just left BW and the pool was open 8am - 10pm.

I don't know when "just" was, but we were at BWV until Tuesday 6/15. Pool hours then were what they have always been as long as we've be going to BWV (which is since 1997): 24/7.

Ergo, as long as you are quiet you could be in the pool at 3 AM if you wanted. The posted "hours" have always referred only to when the Lifeguards are there and slide is open. :teacher:

Yes, like others said, the pools have hours (either 10PM or 12AM), but the slides close when the lifeguards get off. While at BLT last month some folks were trying to get that last slide in before the lifeguards closed the slide (@ 8:00PM) and some man ran up the steps, and when he came down, they had turned the water off on the slide, so he had to push himself down the dry slide with his wet pants. (my daughter was cracking up watching him).:scared1:

just was 6/18-6/21.

I've been in the BW main pool at 2-3am. As long as your quiet there is no problem you can go in it when you want but the slide does close when the lifeguards go off duty. SAB at the BC was open until midnight our first trip over X-mas in 92'. I don't see how its more dangerous now then it was then, the whole pool is lit up. Its just Disney being cheap on lifeguards and cutting something else out. I was in the pool until it closed every night of that trip with the same group of kids.

add us to those that have seen ppl in the pool loooong after 10pm (as early as 6am, and as late as 2-3am).
there are no lifeguards and the slide is closed, but guests use it nonetheless . we've also seen quite a few workers in the area, yet never saw a late-night swimmer be told to leave - exception being those that were making too much noise.

enjoy:)
