My husband and I are going to Disney and will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn :) Since we are not joined at the hip, and plan to go to the pool without each other, do we need both room keys to go to the pool? Our history with room keys is not that good, so I really don't want to have to bring both keys to the pool. What will each of us need to go to the pool area?

I don't know if they check room keys for access to the Boardwalk pool, but if they do, then you would both need to show a room key to get access to the pool (especially if you show up separately).

I'm not sure I understand your concern. At WDW, I always have my room key on me, no matter where I go. If you don't plan on carrying them with you at all times, what are you going to do - leave them in the room?

We stay at the BWVs every trip and have never been asked to show our room key at the pool. We make sure everyone has them just in case because if it gets really crowded they can ask to see the key.

I have never been asked to present a room key at the BW pool but I suppose there could be a crowding situation where you may be asked to prove you are a BW guest.

We just came back from the BW about a week ago and we were never asked to show our room keys at the pool (we only went to the main pool though, so I'm not sure about the quiet pools.) Have a great trip!

We stayed at BWV in April, during spring break, and guests were asked to produce room keys to get towels three different afternoons we were at the pool. I think it depends on how busy it is. I was there with my DD15 and they said one key was fine; I had both.

Have you thought about purchasing a lanyard with a plastic pouch to keep your KTTW cards in when you are at the pool, because they would be easy to get just incase you needed to show them if a Cast Members asks to see them.

:lmao: Now you have me wondering. How will you get back into your room? Or did you mean one person will stay in the room and the other will go to the pool?

I've stayed at BWV's a couple of times and never seen them checking keys at the pool but the pools were fairly empty, as well. Sorry I got bogged down in the logistics of your question. ;)

We have been asked to show a room key at the BW Luna Park pool. It was gated all the way around the pool.

They put it up when the resort gets busy. It's not a permanent fence like at the BC/YC/BCV.

:lmao: Oh, that makes more sense! I'm not a swimmer so I know that I wouldn't bother to take photos of the pool area or sit in a pool side chair (both of which I've done) if I had to go through the hassle of a gate/key check. We go for Spring Break and the pool hasn't ever been busy at all.
