Just booked BWI concierge for Nov 4-8. Had wanted poly but no availability. Had never considered BWI so I was wondering--how does this resort compare to others??Likes,Dislikes? But most important to my kids what about food assortment at concierge.
Rate was $349/night. What do you think?? Would love some feedback to reassure me that this was a good choice??
Thank you:)

We enjoyed our concierge stay, although it was a couple years ago we found everything to be wonderful.

There was plenty to eat. Don't remember what exactly, but I can tell you..it was nicer than what we just had this past weekend at GF concierge.

Go and enjoy..we love the Boardwalk resort!

Oh..and your price..excellent!

We leave this Saturday for BWI - Conciege Deluxe stay (9/18-9/25). I have heard tons of great stuff about BWI Concierge which is why we are staying there. But, we upgraded to the Deluxe so we have a bigger room and larger bed... there are 5 of us. I will let you know when we get back about our stay, if you'd like.

Thank you!! That would be great to hear how your trip goes.
Have a wonderful vacation:)

We haven't stayed concierge yet--next December we are. We did however stay at the BWI in Aug of 2002-had a water view on the 3rd floor-AWESOME. We sat out on our balcony every night watching the hustle and bustle-very relaxing. We tried the Wilderness Lodge this June but I was homesick for the Boardwalk so we are going back. You will love it!:teeth:

We have stayed BWI concierge several times and really like it. (last time we got bumped to a deluxe room and the extra space was great!)

Our family loves the location of the BWI and the pool. Our kids are now 5 & 9.

If you have stayed concierge at the Polynesian you will notice a difference at the BWI with food offerings. In my opinion, the Polynesian and the AKL concierge lounges have the best set-up and the best food offerings. Not that the BWI is BAD - just different. To me the lounge is more "formal" and I keep an eye on my kids in there - at the Polynesian and AKL the lounges are more family friendly (my opinion again). I feel the same way about the lounge at the Yacht Club, but if you notice my ticker we just booked a trip back there. :) (We tried to get into the BWI but there were no AP rates...that could change!)

We have found the folks at the lounge to be very friendly and helpful. Hope you have a great time!!!

Jill

P.S. make sure to go on the Boardwalk and get something decadent at the bakery! Also, the night -time entertainment is fun.

We stayed at the BWI concierge for part of our honeymoon, and we had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't get a chance to sample very many of the food offerings, but I do remember a few. They had popcorn, vegetables and dip, and fruit out during mid-day snacks, little mini-desserts during evening desserts, and all I can remember about the evening appetizers was the mushroom filled phyllo pockets. They also have soft drinks on ice out for the taking. Enjoy your stay!

Have to agree with the post from JESW. It was nice and staff friendly but there are better less formal and more welcoming setup's for the concierge. Liked Poly, AkL, and Yacht club concierge better but that is just my opinion. The BWI is a great location and has alot of charm.
