It's been about five or six years since I've been on the DIS Site, and it's great to be back. Boy has this website changed. It looks incredible.

My parent's and I have gone to WDW about 7 times within the last 20 years, and I also honeymooned there. My husband and I had a little boy six months ago. So of course the first thing we wanted to do, is to plan a family trip to disney. We want to go in May of 2005.

We were thinking about spliting our stay between two resorts. First half of the week at the Poly(we've stayed there before), and the second half at the Boardwalk Inn(we've never stayed here).

We perfer to stay in a room overlooking the courtyard or the gardens. I think it would be to much commotion and noise with a boardwalk view or a pool view. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with any information or your personal opinion about this resort.

Also can you see the Epcot fireworks from your room?

Thank you!

Hi, I have stayed at Poly, CR and BWI and must confess I love BWI and now our familiy considers it our favorite resort. We enjoyed the Poly very much too but found it to be too quiet in the evening.

We found all the CM's to be friendly and helpful from the front desk, to our housekeeper to the pool guards!

We loved the BW atmosphere, quiet during the morning and lively during the evening. I can't say enough good things about the free entertainers on the BW. They are talented and know how to make guests feel included in the fun.

The bakery was awesome for breakfast and dessert (every day we did that!:p )

Our room was over the Bellview Lounge on the 5th floor, facing the rose courtyard/lobby porch and half of the BW. There was noise when our door was open, but when closed it didn't bother us at all, good soundproofing. For our upcoming trip I have requested a standard room, upper floor with an Epcot view.

The Luna Park pool was really fun and my kids have chosen to stay here again over BC/YC!

There are more eating choices than you know what to do with. There are the BW places, BC/YC, S/D and WS in Epcot!

Lastly, be sure to read the FAQ thread on this board about BWI, great info there.

:D

Be aware that some of the standard views face the front driveway. We had a second floor room right next to the walkway to the bus stop last year. People were always walking by. It was only 1 night so I didn't request a change, we moved to BWV the next morning.

Stayed there last July for 8 days. Very quite and we had a 3rd floor room directly above the Garden suites which over looked a quiet pool and had a great veiw of the garden and the top of the eiffel tower. The only thing I saw was a problem was the distance from the elevator to the room. It is really spread out. The rooms are beuatiful. Bakery has the best donuts in the whole WDW! My 8 year old loved the boardwalk games at night anbd itb was sooooo close to Epcot and MGM. Saved tons of time going to and from all week. (our 2 favorite parks too).
