I was wondering if all the rooms at the boardwalk have balconies or do you have to request them and hope for the best?

The rooms have either a balcony or a patio (ground floor). It is my favorite resort!! 117 more days to wait. By the way, I live in Raynham!

snugglepeas, I've not stayed at Boardwalk Inn, but DH and I visited the lounge there before we went to Flying Fish for dinner. Their lounge is great. It has really nice atmosphere. We'll be sure to go back on our next visit.

Several rooms have a half balcony that offers standing room only for one person. If a full balcony is important to you, be sure to request it.

BWI is our favorite WDW resort. We have always had a full balcony. We book a standard room and I request a courtyard view. We could see the high fireworks from Illuminations from the balcony. Love it.
