Someone posted in the Resorts forum but I thought it might help to get more answers here. We are a couple using two scooters for our upcoming stay at Boardwalk Inn Resort. I asked about whether the elevators were large enough for our two scooters. We are renting the Pride Victory 10 scooters. We haven't been to this resort before and it's our first time using scooters. It's been 6 or 7 years since our last Disney visit.

Are the elevators large enough for both scooters? One person didn't think so, but figured I would ask the experts here too.

I've only ever been a single but the elevators are not large so I'm guessing you will only be able to fit one at a time. Even if technically you could get two in, you'd spend so much time jockeying to fit that honestly it wouldn't be worth it. I'd just plan on going one at a time. Really not a big deal.

I was just visiting a few weeks ago, and although it didn’t feel cramped with me (in my Fold & Go) and my 8-yo niece… I don’t think we could’ve fit more than an umbrella stroller in there with us. Now, there may be bigger elevators that I didn’t take… I don’t know. I have very limited experience there, but agree with Debbie that it would be best to plan to take separate elevators.

Off the top of my head I’m going to say I don’t think 2 will fit. We were there last October with a scooter, and I would ride in the elevator with my mom on the scooter. I don’t remember it being too much more room. A few more people standing would have fit, but I’m thinking another scooter not so much.

We found it a very tight fit. What we normally did was I (the walker) rode with one ECV (&possibly a family with a stroller), then go back and repeat with the second ECV. I managed door open button and floor button, so they wouldn’t have to try to reach. We loved BWI, but the elevator situation “chased” us to Beach Club requesting a ground floor room. Good luck! Enjoy your vacation!

We are both able to walk. Our issue is back and knee prevent us from standing or walking for long in parks. It causes me a lot of pain. So we can easily hit the buttons.

You would likely be able to fit two gogo sport scooters and might be able to get on victory 10 and one gogo sport, but you wouldn't be a le to get two victory 10s in any of the on property elevators. If very careful, you might be able to at Swan and Dolphin, but otherwise, no.

The guy at gold mobility strongly suggested the victory 10 scooters for best battery and the extra add on items you get. Thank you for sharing!

And he isn't wrong at all, unless you have a specific need for three gogo sport, the victory 10 is a much better choice. I was simply pointing out what might be able to fit fort those that might need to know. But you will be much happier with the Victory 10 in general.

Definitely and it is a much more comfortable ride on the Victory 10, regardless of weight.

When we use WDW elevators we drive straight in and back straight out, no angling or manuvering. We'll wait for another elevator if needed because the first to arrive is too full with people. Safer for everyone and the scooter. None we have been on doing it this way can hold more than one at a time. If needed, I drive in slowly and pause so I can reach over to hit the buttons on my way in -- the elevator may squak at you because the doors have been open "too long" but whatever, it will stop squaking and do its thing once it senses you are no longer blocking the door.

Caution: I HIGHLY recommend going complete turtle speed when entering and exiting elevators. There is a far wall in an elevator in Beach Club that doesn't like me (but no harm done to the wall or the ecv thanks to the ecv bumper and very slow speed...) because I accidently had it set at a little little bit above turtle and it couldn't stop quite fast enough. Turtle is your friend. We really just bumped with the lightest touch, but it scared me enough as I frantically checked for any possible damage that I paranoidly confirm the thing is actually on the slowest possible speed before it moves into any elevator.
