Hey there. We are booked to stay in a few weeks at Boardwalk Inn and I'm having last minute doubts because of the pool. My two youngest children really enjoy the splash areas at GF and Poly. Also zero entry is great too. Anyone who has been there recently with children what did you think of the pool area in regards to children. The clown slide is a little too big for them BTW. Thanks

My children loved the pool, but they were 8 and 12 at the time....
It's NOT zero entry, but there's a kiddie pool not too far away which is also next to the play area. If I had real little ones, I'd probably want Poly or BC/YC pool wise.

BUT Boardwalk is awesome, so if you think they'll have fun no matter what pool, don't doubt your plans.

I don't have little kids, but we do love the Boardwalk pool. While it doesn't have zero entry, it does have a nice wading pool with 'elephants' that spray water into it. The pool party/games that they play every afternoon are so much fun. Even my kids who are now 21 (twins), 18 and 15 enjoy watching the kids play and answering the trivia questions. (to themselves haha) It's definitely not as nice as the ones at GF or Poly, but I think it's still very enjoyable. Have a magical trip!!

Mine are 5, 8, and 13. My oldest doesn't really care where we stay but the 5 year old always talks about the splash areas. On the other hand I really want to try Boardwalk as we have not stayed there yet. Its so close I may not even have a chance to change anyway. Thanks for the input. Guess I need to think some more.

Thank you. I'm sure they will be happy either way. They ARE at Disney after all.:-)

OP-The slide isn't as scary as it looks. I couldn't get my 8yr old off of it and she's one who normally sticks to the kiddie slides when we go to waterparks. The first few days we were there she wouldn't go near it until she made a friend and the girl asked her to go on it with her. After that, it was all about the side. And we had the best time as a family with the pool games.

My DS8 LOVES the clown slide, says it's his favorite slide of all the resorts' and has been going on it since he was 6. That being said, BWI's pool isn't the best for young children. No zero entry, no splash pad. As others have said, they do have the children's pool and they have life vests in all sizes. The pool games are also a lot of fun.

If you want to try the Epcot resort area and your kids would like a smaller slide, you could think about Beach Club and Stormalong Bay. When my three were too small for the big slide, they really enjoyed the little slide that they have across the path at Stormalong Bay. there are two slides there - the big one, and the small one that is with a smaller shallower pool. You can easily grab the kids at the end of that slide, something not allowed at the big pools. Also, the shallow sandy area is so fun. My kids just loved sitting and playing in that water. Now the pool area is huge and if your older child wants to enjoy the big slide and the lazy river, then your family will have to split up because there is no way to keep an eye on all three kiddos if they are enjoy different areas.
We love the Boardwalk Inn. My kids love how quiet and laid back the pool area is. It really helps them wind down after a busy morning at the parks. We'll be staying at the Boardwalk Villas again this summer and I can't wait! Enjoy planning your trip.

We have stayed at both BC and YC and agree that the pool area is hard to enjoy with my children's ages being so different and wanting to be in different areas of the pool. We kind of agreed that maybe we will wait a few more years for the little ones to catch up a bit. Boardwalk pool does definitely look a bit more laid back for sure. Thanks for your help!
