thinking of going down right after TG, like dec 2 for a week:

1) anyone know how long a walk from these suites to the club lounge?

2) any chance for an AP discount on these rooms?

thanks

We were upgraded to one, which was really exciting. When you enter the Inn from outside, you take the elevator right in the doors up to the lounge. It is then a bit of a hike to the lounge. If I were paying for it, I would probably prefer the club room, as opposed to a garden suite.

Also, with the suite itself, we didn't really use the downstairs much with the two of us, so it was a lot of wasted space. You also had to exit into the elements in order to get anywhere.

I did prefer it to the standard room I booked and paid for, and it was really special on our anniversary no kids trip. However, if I were going to actually pay out of pocket for it, I would choose the club room. Just my opinion.

It's probably no more than 5 minutes, but, as the PP mentioned, you have to exit the cottage, walk down the path to the main hotel building to the elevator to get to the 4th floor and then walk down a fairly long hallway to get to the lounge.

We stayed in one in Feb. and I agree with PP, we never used the downstairs portion of the cottage and walking back and forth from the lounge was a bit of a pain, plus housekeeping was really spotty in the cottages. The one nice thing was having the quiet pool right outside our room.

We just got back from another trip and chose a standard club level BWI room this time. It was always a dream to stay in one of the cottages and I don't regret it, but wouldn't choose it again.

thanks; we booked the BWI deluxe concierge today since the walk and the stairs arent good for me these days;
