I was noticing that there are several stops in Epcot and one in HS for the Boardwalk Friendship Ferry's. Do they have multiple boats or do they take you around the world showcase and you can just get off when you like? I think that would be a fun experience to do. I am assuming that you have to have a park ticket to get on the boat if you are going to Epcot because you are going through the international gateway right?

No, you get on the boat outside the international gateway, they do not go into the park. It then goes to the studios, stopping at BeachClub/Yacht Club, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin. No cost to ride, but no air conditioning and when it is hot out, it can be uncomfortable. The boat reverses the route to go back to Epcot. They have up to 3-4 boats working on a busy day.

I think OP is confusing the boat inside EPCOT with the boat outside EPCOT. The outside one, as mentioned by PP, stops at the hotels, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The inside one goes between Canada and Morocco, I think.

Specific order of the Crescent Lake Friendship boats: Epcot > Boardwalk > Beach/Yacht Club > Dolphin/Swan > Studios > Dolphin/Swan > Beach/Yacht Club > Boardwalk > Epcot.

Not the many times we took the boat, and we owned ay BWV. They kept the windows open. Perhaps there had been air conditioning early on, but it must have broken. we bought BWV in 1998.

Well might depend on the captain and possibly the time of year you travel possibly.

I know others say the AC just doesn't do a good job so maybe that might be the case that you don't feel the AC even though it is running.

No, there is definitely AC on the boats. It is not good AC. But it is there. You can see the units on the ceilings. The only open windows are the tops of the front doors, the windows where guest sit don’t open at all. We have been staying at YC 2 or 3 times a year since the early 90’s, The AC did seem better initially, got really bad for a few years & is a bit better now.

The boats inside Epcot go either Mexico to Germany or Canada to Morocco. Frequently only 1 side is running.

I'm pretty sure the Mexico route has been discontinued. The only time I've seen it running over the past 5 years or so was when the Canada or Morocco dock was being refurbed.
