We stayed above the bakery area last trip and loved it! I didn't realize bwi had rooms with no balconies???

Unfortunately they do and we found that out the hard way!
On the side of the main BWI building where the outside staircase access to front main entrance (between BWV and BWI), there is at least one room with no balcony, and they put us in it!

I did call front desk and the next night they moved us to a balcony room with same view, but at least we had a balcony!

That must be their ' crummy room.' Glad you switched!
