Boardwalk DVC Garden View VS Boardwalk

We’re booking a BW DVC studio.

Would you do a Garden/Pool View or Boardwalk view?

We’ll have a 4&5 yr old so quieter, easy exits to the lobby are preferable but a great view would be a nice bonus too!

I’d have Standard View if I could get one. Stayed in one last summer and the points to value ratio is superb, and view was nice, with room v quiet.

If you need a quieter stay, avoid Boardwalk view. We have DVC at BWV, we love it. But when we have stayed in a Boardwalk view, it is somewhat noisy. Entertainers and lots of people.

We always get a studio BW view and if you request an upper floor the noise is negligible. Especially with the balcony doors shut.

Garden/Pool. I wouldn't risk the potential noise factor of a Boardwalk view.

Boardwalk view is a long walk. Many of the pool/garden also gave long walks to the lobby. The villas have long corridors. If you are booking cash, you can't get the Boardwalk view. Those are only points stays.

Do you know for certain both categories are available? Every time I’ve tried to get a Boardwalk View from rented points there is no availability and I’ve had to go with Garden/Pool view. For any view, I would request close to the elevators/lobby. That reduces the potential for a long corridor walk.

Pool/Garden is about 60% of the inventory at BWV. Standard is about 20% and BW view is about 20%. Standard and BW view both usually get sold out before seven months out.

Our home resort is BWV and we typically get a boardwalk view and have a higher floor. Note some of the boardwalk views will be close to the lobby. There are a bunch of studios that overlook the courtyard that are deemed boardwalk. Those are quieter. Personally, we usually stay in a boardwalk view on a higher floor and never have a noise issue. Garden view could have long walks but be shorter to DHS or to the bus stop.

Your close to the lobby request would put your DVC unit on the 2nd floor since the lobby is also on the 2nd floor. Note that this is 1 floor above the actual boardwalk and you will need to take an elevator / stairs. No steps to get to the Bus stop for the other resorts / parks. Just out the lobby doors and follow the walkway around to the left and it is slopping path down to the Bus Stop.

Very easy downhill but can be more of a challenge on the return from the parks late in the evening.

I hit the lottery one time using DVC Rental where I got a standard view at the BWV, and ended up with pretty much a partial boardwalk view, and could see Spaceship Earth from my balcony.

I was in that Village Green nook area on the 2nd to highest floor.

The BW View is far from the lobby. You'll be walking all the way down the hallway and then turning to get to your BW view villa.

On a points stay, that is a preferred garden/pool view, not standard view. Standard would be along the front of the building looking towards the parking lot.
