Boardwalk Distance

How far of a walk is the Boardwalk from Epcot? It says a short distance but what is a short distance in DISNEY World?

I'd say a 5 to 10 minute walk. There is also a boat.

I have only stayed at CBR and want to stay in a boardwalk villa in Sept. 2009. Do you suggest anywhere else with small children or have I hit the mark with this one?

I own DVC at Boardwalk, so I'd have to say I'm partial to it! Love it!

Boardwalk is really pretty convenient - for you with the kids, the boat may be the easiest and it is not a far walk at all. But they may love the boardwalk - there usually lots of fun things out there to see plus it has a neat pool.

I think the Boardwalk is perfect w/small children. The pool area is compact enough that you can easily supervise children w/o swivelheading all over (like at Beach Club!!) and there is a playground right there tool. Walking to Epcot and even DHS is a great opportunity to let the little ones burn some energy before they are in the stroller for much of the day!

We just got back from BWV. Believe me, we walked lots , but the walk from BWV to Epcot isn't bad at all, and I'm an out of shape mom! The walk to DHS is a little longer, but we did it at night, when we just missed the boat. The BW is a great location, if you need transportation to another resort, just get a boat to DHS and all of the busses are right there.

It's not that far of a walk but the heat can get to you so the boat rid can be a good thing.

5 minutes if you are fast - 15 minutes if you are slow. Also depends where in the Boardwalk your room is and what part of Epcot you want to reach. From the lobby to International Gateway should take the average person 10 minutes.

the walk to epcot isnt bad at all. we stayed at BWV on our last trip and it seemed that it took longer for us to get out of the resort then from the front door of BW to epcot. we were on the top floor all the way at the far corner had a great view of TOT. we used to joke that the hallways reminded us of the hotel in the Shining.
