I've read in more than one place that there's bus transportation between Coronado Springs and the Boardwalk in the evening (after 4?). I'm really curious about this because I think it's the ONLY resort-to-Boardwalk bus in all of WDW, isn't it?

What's up with this? It it just that the two busses are sharing a Downtown Disney line? If so, does the bus from CSR say "Boardwalk" on it, or does it say DtD and you just have to know?

Mind you, I'm not upset or annoyed about this - it's just interesting that we seem to have this one little isolated blip in the system and I'm wondering what the story is.

We used the CSR to Boardwalk bus a lot when we stayed at CSR in May of 2000. At that time, there were separate busses to take you to the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney. I don't know if that is still true. I think the reason for the bus to the Boardwalk is that CSR is a convention hotel. They want to make sure that all the business people (whom we never actually saw) have a way to get over to the restaurants, shops, clubs, etc. at the Boardwalk. It worked out great for us, because we LOVE the Boardwalk at night. The direct bus to the Boardwalk was one of the best things about staying at CSR.

Lots of times the really big conventions at S/D need more or cheaper rooms than are available there, and this allows convention attendees who are staying at CSR to easily get to events at S/D or YC/BC.

Actually, it has nothing at all to do with the events at the S/D. Otherwise the bus would go there, not to the BW.

The reason is that the BW offers evening dining and entertainment options suitable for business which the CSR doesn't have. Many people atending conventions at CSR want an evening option other than paying $20 to get into PI. The BW entertainment offers this to them.

The Boardwalk has convention facilities too. I was told that sometimes, CSR conferences use Boardwalk as overspill, hence the bus service.
