We are staying at the BWV in a week and wondered what the current bus situation is? We have not stayed here in 20 years and at that time it shared buses with all the Epcot resorts on the loop. We want to rope drop both AK and MK and had read various reports of long lines and buses not showing up until 30 minutes until park opening? I was planning on arriving at the bus stop an hour early but I am not sure that is a good plan? Also , when do the buses start running to DS currently?

The current recommendation is to be in line for the bus about 90 minutes before the published park opening. For example; if MK is scheduled to open at 9AM, be in line for the bus at 7:30ish, the busses will start running at 8AM. This should get you on one of the first few busses and enable you to get the park gates for the unofficial park opening, which can be up to 45 min before published opening.

Thanks! Getting up really early then for 8 am opening. I am always up early anyway, it’s my husband and my sons who I am going to have to get moving!

We have been at the BWV this week. For each of our 3 rope drops requiring bus trips (2 to MK and 1 to DAK) we arrived at the bus stop at 6:30 for an 8 AM official opening. Each day there were already a couple of people there, and more trickled in over the next 15 minutes or so before our bus arrived (between 6:45 and 6:50). That got us to the parks at almost the perfect time, just as the park was opening, and in time to get to 7DMT and FOP before too many other people (although one day 7DMT did not open until about 7:45).

I think arriving 90 minutes before official opening is the best advice. Any earlier than that isn’t likely to get you to the park any earlier, but 15 minutes later runs the risk of missing the first bus or having enough people there before you that you can’t get on the first bus given the reduced capacity. Better to be 10 minutes earlier than necessary than 5 minutes too late.

Thank you so much ! That is extremely helpful!
Wanted to answer the other part of your question! And the good news is that BWV has its own buses now. Y&B got their own route a few years ago, and S/D started using charter buses after reopening. Hooray!
