Hello all! I am getting quite frustrated as we love the Boardwalk and want to return there May 7-14, 2016 but there is absolutely no availability! Only at the Villas and we would rather be on the Inn side. Does anyone know what could be taking all the availability here? I know the Invictus Games are going on then and in my mind Prince Harry has blocked the whole thing off. lol I know that's probably not true but it seems like the whole resort is booked in a time when it is not supposed to be very busy and every other resort has a couple of categories available. What is going on at Boardwalk? Any help is appreciated!

I don't know what's going on either. There is standard room availability from the 7th to the 9th but once you go past the 9th there's nothing.

Yacht and Beach both have pretty much wide open availability which seems crazy since Beach Club is normally quickly booked up. We really love Boardwalk and have had 2 bad experiences at Yacht Club so that is why we haven't booked there yet.

People were thinking Star Wars Weekends would start the 13th, but that's been cancelled. Maybe some people didn't change their trips or don't know SWW was cancelled. I don't know if that's it, but it's a possibility, since its close to DHS.

OP- Have you tried calling Disney? Since MDE has been experiencing glitches lately, perhaps you may have better results by calling.

I have not called yet but I did chat with a cast member on the website who checked and found the same thing.

I'd book for the part of my trip that was available and stalk the site for the remainder of the trip. I bet OP is right - people haven't cancelled their trips yet because it was just announced that SWW is no more.

We love Boardwalk too!

So I think I finally figured out what is going on at BWI when I am trying to book. There is a convention May 9-12, 2016. Smack dab in the middle of my trip! They say they are holding rooms for that until April 8, 2016 and the rate they get is $209 per night! Crazy! I wish i could just book with that! UGH!

This is interesting, looking into a May 2016 trip and thought BW might be an option, but we would go with renting DVC points, since it's a good bit cheaper.
