We are going to Disney in July and staying at the Poly. On our last night we thought we'd just keep it simple and go walk around the Boardwalk area. My travel agent recommended Spoodles, and I have heard the food is good.

However, it seems like a burger and beer might be a nice relaxing way to kick back on the last night. What about the Big River Grille? Anyone ever tried that?

We enjoy Spoodles a lot. But if you are in the mood for Burgers, Big River Grille is also very good. We have only had lunch there but we did have sandwiches and burgers and enjoyed it. Another good burger place by the Boardwalk is Beaches and Cream. But they are usually very crowded.

Here is a link to the DISboards menus. Lots of choices.

Boardwalk:
Big River Grille and Brewing Works
Boardwalk Bakery
Boardwalk Joe's Coffee Cart
Boardwalk Pizza Window
Boardwalk To Go
Disney's Boardwalk TO GO
ESPN Club
Flying Fish Cafe
Leaping Horse Libations
Seashore Sweets
Spoodles
Tasty Sensations

ESPN may also be a choice for you.

I like sitting outside at Big River Grille, but not inside. Inside seems extremely LOUD. Outside is nice to watch the people go by

I've eaten at Big River Brewery several times and always enjoyed it.

You could give ESPN a try if you have any sports nuts in your group. We ate there in June at my DH request and much to my surprise we really enjoyed it. The food was good and the atmosphere was much to DH liking.:flower3:

Is it Big River Brewery that you can't make ADRs? If so, how easy is it get a walk up?

We have enjoyed Spoodles many times for dinner. If your looking for a great burger give Beaches & Creme a try. It's located at the Beach Club resort just across the water from the boardwalk. There onion rings are great too.

I like Big River and go at least once on every trip. Decent bar food and good beers.

Avoid ESPN. The food is terrible.

Big River is good for a beer and burger, if that's all you want. They used to have great meatloaf, but that menu item has fallen on hard times.
They don't take Adr"s thru WDW-Dine, but I believe you can call them direct for a reservation. I'm not sure of the #, but someone else will surely have it.

From Boardwalk you may have a problem getting back to your hotel ---

1. You can go through Epcot and catch monorail/bus if you enter park on ticket before closing

2. Catch bus to DTD and then bus to your hotel this can take 1+ hour

3. Taxi

4. Your own car.

Possibly another one of my "dumb" questions here, but is the boardwalk restaurants in the vicinity of the BWI?

I'm contemplating staying there on our next trip...
