Our youngest will be 2 (almost 3) when we go to Disney. We are staying at the BWV.

Usually we would simply rent a stroller in the park everyday and then return it when we leave the park. But since we are staying on the boardwalk for the first time we will be walking to epcot and Hollywood studios. Will those walks be long enough in the summer heat to need a stroller at our resort too? We could bring one from home if needed. Just not sure whether it's worth it or not.

I would definitely get a stroller. It's a great area to go for a walk anytime during the day and evening. Its a short walk over to Epcot, but a bit of a walk for a youngster. I am glad we had a stroller (rented through Orlando Strollers) when we stayed at the YC in 2014. My boys were aged 4 & 6 at that time.

I def. bring or rent a real (non-hard plastic) stroller for your 2 year old that you'll be able to have at your resort. Even if not in the summer those walks, especially to DHS are long for a 2/3 year old. I def. would not want to try to have my child under the age of 5 walk it the summer heat.

You can take the boats to both Epcot and HS from the BW, so I personally wouldn't bother lugging one along unless you are driving. I'd still just continue to rent them in the parks. I never took one when my son was little, just to big of a pain to deal with, if he got tired we'd rent one but I wasn't lugging one around.

The walk isn't bad...but, I would recommend the boat. It's very relaxing and my kids, especially at that age, LOVED it..

I would bring a stroller, even look for a second hand one over renting from Disney. They are hard plastic without any recline. I priced out how much it would be to rent from Disney and used that as how much I would spend (I spent a bit more). I ended up using it for 4 trips and I saved so much money over renting. My nieces were comfortable and I still have the stroller and could get back a good amount for it if I wanted to sell.

Our first trip to Disney World with a little one (2 1/2 at the time), I actually bought an inexpensive ($35ish, it was an older model that had been discontinued) stroller that was lightweight, but was also padded, reclined, had a sunshade... so basically, a step up from an umbrella stroller or a plastic Disney stroller. I looked for one that would be easy to fold and easy to lift to get on Disney transportation (we rented a car, so didn't use the buses, but instead had to get on the parking trams). I ordered it on Amazon and had it delivered to the resort, which held it for our arrival. When we checked in, they gave us the box, we popped the wheels on, and we were ready to go. It was cheaper by far than renting, and so, so easy. We figured we could use it for the trip and either bring it home or leave it behind - at that price, it wouldn't owe us anything by the time our trip was done. (We did bring it home - and brought it back to Disney for our next two trips, when my son was 3 and 5. On that trip, a wheel broke, and we tossed it.)

If I were bringing a little one on another trip, I'd totally do this again...

I would bring the stroller. Take the ferry to DHS and walk or ferry to Epcot (takes same time).

I would rent a stroller to have for the whole trip. Te 3rd party strollers are much nicer than the hard plastic ones and it's convient to have. We used the stroller at our resort when going to the food court or pool. It was so convineint to have.

Bring a stroller...the walks to HS and Epcot are easy for adults, but way too long for three year old legs.

We always bring a stroller and stay at BWV. You could probably get away with in-park strollers IF you committed to taking the boats to Epcot and DHS, but I don't know any two year old who could do that walk to DHS without getting tired or going incredibly slow. You would definitely be carrying them. There is also a lot of stuff to do at the Boardwalk, especially at night, and it is fairly spread out. You will want a stroller for that area too.

We stayed at BWV last year with with one kid and brought an umbrella stroller - and she walks everywhere at home. This time we rented from a 3rd party - city mini gt double stroller, and our 4.5 year old has been using it, especially later in the day. It's soft, has a great sunshade, reclines, and rolls well - and the rental for the whole week costs the same as 3 days of the hard plastic in park stroller. Fwiw at BWV did rode in the stroller to get to the parks, and now at BLT she rides the stroller to and from MK and even rides it to get on the monorail and from the monorail. So worth it.

Love the Boardwalk - definitely bring a stroller! My DD is 4 and it's a must. I rented from Kingdom strollers on our most recent visit b/c we were going on a cruise after WDW. I really missed my own stroller - which we had in September when we stayed there last time. I just don't have the patience to wait for the ferry.... So for we always walked. In the heat, my DD barely wanted to walk and I hated picking her up. Stroller is a must!

Definitely rent (ex/ Kingdom Strollers) or bring a stroller. Avoid the rentals from the parks.
