I still seem to be having some problems on MBP using Safari. But I realise that the scale of the DIS makes this an enormous logistical challenge.

Appreciate the efforts of all of the Webmasters in pulling this off

Well, honestly, a lot of the people reporting problems (me included) mentioned using firefox if they mentioned a browser. Maybe it *was* worse for Firefox? Oh, well. Firefox probably needed reinstalling anyways.

i use chrome and i've been having lots of problems.

I guess i should open one of my other browsers, but i never thought it was the browser, as i've never had trouble before.

it's funny - my remember me function is working perfectly fine.
no problem at all.
but the boards are much slower for me than before the upgrade.

Try clearing your browser cookies. Just the disboards ones at first (if you can identify them) to see if that fixes it - and if not, clear all your cookies.

I've seen this comment from others but I've never lost it. Perhaps the "clear cookies" suggestion is a good place to start.

I had a similar issue when the boards were first switched to the new servers over the weekend - could not get them to load at all when using a machine connected to my home's internet. iPad and IPhones all worked fine when not connected to the wifi.

I called my local service provider (Brighthouse) and explained the issue.

The tech's exact words were 'Oh, the software on your router is VERY old'. He did a remote update, rebooted my router and within minutes I was working fine. This seems counter-intuitive to how server addresses and domain names work but what ever he did fixed the issue.

My advise would be to call your local provider and explain exactly what you're experiencing. My guess is they will walk you through some things (clear DNS, ping the site, etc) and that will help them diagnose the issue.
