Boards are super fast now!

I clicked on the link to this thread and it took over a minute to load (and I am doing this from my 'faster' computer). I'm not sure I see an improvement but I'll keep looking for it.

Yes, there are very fast for me today too! Weird though, I keep getting logged out. I'm usually always signed in, but since yesterday, every time I come back to the boards or go to post or something I'm logged out and have to log in everytime.

Same here...but I'll take the speed over logging in every time.

Anyone notice that while the DISboards have gotten faster, Facebook is running like crap? Hmmm...I wonder where the servers came from...

Wow!! Super job gang, the site is very fast and responsive now. I am using Google Chrome and have had no issues of any kind posting, reading, updating, etc

I also have the non-persistent login issue too.

I'm sure Alex has an awful lot on his plate at the moment though...

Yup, I just managed to catch it in text:

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to tcp://192.168.101.101:25 (Connection refused) in [path]/includes/class_mail.php on line 641

Perhaps this is why email notifications aren't working? Port 25 is SMTP...

I am seeing people reporting when they log in, they are actually being shown someone else's user name. Has not happened to me yet.

And here I went blaming Firefox, uninstalling it and everything.

Now I have guilt.

Well, honestly, a lot of the people reporting problems (me included) mentioned using firefox if they mentioned a browser. Maybe it *was* worse for Firefox? Oh, well. Firefox probably needed reinstalling anyways.

Wow, I love how fast pages load. I hadn't realize how use I was to the slow load until today when I clicked a link and I didn't have time to even open a search window to go to another webpage while I waited.

That's what I used to do too. Now I don't have time to browse another website at the same time!
